Not sure I agree with him, the defense played well. Their QB embarrassed the defense. It was 3rd and Schuman for sure. What happened to that stifling defense the whole country was counting on? Take time off and forget how to play. TX upgraded their defense even when they were considered a top defense in the country. We will continue with the same less than mediocre. No hope of him getting a H/C position and even if he does, we let one of the best slip through our fingertips. The OL play really good a couple plays then totally blow it. Seems like QB is scared to throw downfield unless the receiver is covered, maybe hoping for PI. Can't see the open guy. Done venting.
If the "book" says go for it on 4th and more than 1 on your own 31, then burn the freaking book.
Give Ole Miss credit where credit is due, they made the plays necessary to win the game, but, we didn't have to assist them with the offensive game plan coming out of halftime. We lost two series with Bobo and Smarts decision to continue trying to run the ball up the middle when it wasn't working, and don't get me started on the fourth down play in the shadow of our goal post.
Overall a good season for the Dawgs….
So sick of "aNaLytIcS", use your dang brain. If we wanted to watch a computer call the game, we could just watch simulations. Go with your gut, shutup about "the book". Defense gave up 27 in the 2nd half, 20 of that in the 4th. This game goes on Kirby and Schuman. Not the dumb offensive play calls. Is what it is, we'll be back next year.
