Why am I not surprised - Conner making a living off of "social media" and ESPN. The readers and Dawgnation deserve better than this. It's lazy, unprofessional and has that National Enquirer feel to it all.

If I were Kirby, I wouldn't give him the time of day.

Kirby needs to get off the old school genre and pay the dang money for elite DL. Losing too many to to TT and Ohio State. Next year we are in the Pop Tart bowl.

Trying to develop a 5-star team from 3 and 4-star recruits and a less than adequate coaching and coordinator staff has got us to where we are and where we will stay if Kirby doesn't make the hard calls. We're gonna miss Jared Curtis and all the other 5-stars we have allowed to escape.

    You gotta be kidding me.

UGA will be a top 5 team next year.

You guys really need to stop coming on here with ignorant comments.

It's hard not to laugh sometimes.

I think there are several things right now in today's era of college football that have hit Georgia right in the mouth. In general, the SEC has gotten weaker the last few years. This year was the weakest the SEC has been in forever. The top teams in the SEC are now out of the playoffs. Indiana looked like they were playing a scrimmage team when they destroyed Bama.

Is Ole Miss the best the SEC can offer now?

    Yep.

Bottom line: The Dawgs may be resilient, gritty, and tough, but what they don't have is an elite QB and an elite passing game. Their OL is mediocre at best, and as good as the defense has played, they can't win every game. Running the ball is super important, but it is only one facet of the game. If you can't play complementary football today and have an equally good passing game, then you aren't going to win a Natty.

Too many highs and lows, too much inconsistency in play and at QB, and too much dependency on erratic school yard haphazard football play to win games. I'm not seeing that kind of play from Indiana, and I didn't see it from the National Champion Buckeyes last season who dominated their opponents in the playoffs.

We've seen this same kind of Georgia team recently and had the same kind of results. We need a better way forward.

Not unless we get another dynamic receiver like Branch from the portal. Georgia is losing a huge majority of its receiver production this offseason.

@dazzledawg…and I'll take the Dawgs playing like Indiana over the way we actually played this year…

And the Dawgs may never be in the National Championship game again if they continue to play like they play.

Sounds like a True Dawgs fan to me !! Great comment !! I Challenge ANY Dawgs fan to go back and look at Dawgs W/L record from 2025 back to 2017 and compare those with IN, Ole Miss, Oregon and Miami in the Same years and tell me which team has the better W/L record over all from 2017-2025. I guess going 12-2 And a SEC crown is a terrible team !! I guess if Dawgs don’t win a Ntl. Title every year from herd on Even with NIL and the TP they won’t be considered Elite by some Dawgs fans.

Look what happened to Bama !! Look what happened to Texas Tech., not just beat but both were curb stomped !!

There are Allot of pretty good teams out there that didn’t even sniff getting in the playoffs. YES the loss last night was Very painful, sad, and frustrating but it was a Far cry from being the end of glory days for Georgia.

And for those scorning Gunner the Dawgs wouldn’t have been in the playoffs or won the SEC crown without his Very Valuable contributions.
Oh but we want an Elite reincarnation of Tom Brady QB, the highest, shiniest 5 star. Yeah so that the first sign of trouble the Elite Wonder can hit the TP go else where and draw even more NIL.

I’m not saying he will even return as I’m not a prophet but if Gunner does return and if per chance he takes the Dawgs deep into the playoffs and maybe even a Natty. All you bashing on Him being the problem feel free to come back and have a heaping helping of raw crow !!

Thanks again dazzledawg and Many others for understanding that Losing is as much a part of the Game as winning. NONE Of us wanted to Win more than Gunner and the Dawgs. 12-2 an a SEC crown I can easily remember even with my poor memory we would have drooled at the prospect.

Back then being beat fairly regularly by KY., Vandy, GT and only Dreaming of beating UF and TN. Especially UF and TN in the same year.

Maybe the B2B that Kirby and the Dawgs won were both a blessing and a curse. With NIL and the TP I doubt there will ever be dynasties in CFB like Bama anymore. Saban saw it coming and jumped ship.

Maybe not next year but the next after watch Kiffin beat the same Ole Miss he left for the $$ Sometimes it’s good to be thankful for what you have……..

Yet the Dawgs actually Improved in regular season play vs the previous season. In both the SECCG and the game vs GT if you recall the Dawgs had to go to OT to win. Certainly not the case this year. And this was Gunner’s first Real year as the starter. All the “being in the system” talk is of little value, it’s Real Game experience that makes the difference.

And Who exactly do you think as an Elite QB would do any better behind, as You stated a mediocre O Line and Bobo calling the plays ?

So if the Dawgs shell out vast amounts of $$ to reel this unnamed Elite QB in what guarantees do we have that he won’t leave at the first sign of trouble ? You know hit the TP go else where and draw Another big check ?

No Thank You. I’ll take the Loyal Gunner who’s willing to put his body through living h e l l to Win. Instead of the shiny and sparkly Elite guy that gets sacked a few to many times behind the mediocre O line and Bobo’s inconsistent play calling. And decides to hit the TP for more $$.

Players like Gunner remind me of the good ole days of CFB. Before the NCAA sat back on their haunches and Allowed it to go to h e l l !! Nothing personal Montana, I count you as a friend. Some advice yours to use or yours to discard. Your letting this loss turn you bitter as unfortunately quite a few other Dawgs fans are.

Go back and take a hard look at Dawgs football and tell me they don’t have an elite W/L record. Rest assured they’ll be right back in the hunt next year. I DO fully agree that some radical changes need to be made. But Gunner is Not the problem.

Is our inability lately to sign and the last minute loss of the 5 stars "we thought we had" beginning to rear it's **** head?

@navydawg….The SEC had the weakest field of teams in years. Oklahoma couldn't beat Bama but played them pretty competitively. Indiana destroyed Bama like they were a scrimmage team. The Dawgs schedule this season was easier than last season, so one certainly would hope we would do better.

Georgia went in with a plan to physically dominate the Rebels. It didn't materialize. When Dawgs had 1st and goal down three, I thought they had Ole Miss checkmated. The following sequence typified the game for Georgia; missed assignments, yet another TFL and unable to move Ole Miss front. For stretches it looked like Ole Miss knew what was coming. Stockton never looked comfortable the entire night. And poor coaching decisions cost us points. Chambliss was clearly the more effective passer and his play made a difference.

Just like last season, every game this season you never knew which Georgia team would show up. Dawgs played some great games, but overall we've lost our dominant edge. We're running in circles and not really moving forward. Sure, blame injuries or whatever on this final loss. But, believe me, for Kirby to not make it past the 1st game of the playoffs for a 2nd year in a row is killing him. And it should. We're not finishing the drill. We're playing too much school yard football to survive and win games.

Something has to change moving forward. I stand by what I said. We need a better offensive game plan and ultimately that means a better QB and a more effective passing attack to compliment our strong running game. It's not my job to find a new QB or better receivers. That's on Kirby. Maybe it's just Stockton growing and playing more. I don't know. But this team is stuck in neutral.
