Need to keep the big ole bookends. Would be great to have a starting lineup of Freeling, Glover, Bobo , Gaston and Greene.

I can't believe UGA would have let Hughley walk if they thought they were going to lose BOTH Freeling and Greene. Keep in mind that just because some players haven't publicly announced their transfer or NFL plans, it doesn't mean that they haven't already told the Georgia coaching staff what they plan to do. I'm thinking that at least one (and hopefully both) of them is planning to return to UGA. Regardless, though, no matter who comes or goes our O-Line still must play better. We just can't have repeat performances by them from the past two Sugar Bowls.
Greene has eligibility left? His NFL position is OG not OT. Freeling needs another year. Doubtful he is a 1st rd pick in '26.
The right side of the OL is set for '26 w/ Glover and Gaston.
OL is one of the deepest groups on the team. Quality is the question.
Won't matter unless or until Smart hires a competent offensive line coach.
Based on 0 playoff wins in the last 3 years the same argument can be made for any and all assistant coaches.
In the last 10 years UGA has always been more interested in hiring recruiters who can coach (the Saban Way) vs hiring good, solid coaches who can recruit.
With recruiting success now coming down to who writes the biggest check, it may be time for a shift in program philosophy from recruiting acumen to coaching expertise and filling roster holes with more proven players out of the TP.
