That the Bulldogs have brought in four transfers in the secondary this cycle illustrates that last year’s additions didn’t work and that the defensive backfield still has some holes to fill.

This is all well and good. But, in the last few days of the open portal, we need to desperately look at adding a couple of proven offensive lineman. At least one tackle and one guard/center. We have a good core coming back—Bobo, Glover, Greene (hopefully). I do not view Juan Gaston as a permanent solution on the offensive line whether it be at Guard or Tackle. He's just too slow. Now, that might change if Scott Sinclair and staff can get him down to 330lbs and use extensive plyometrics exercises to work on quickness. If we fail to get any experienced offensive linemen from the portal, look for Mason Short (RSF) and Zykie Helton (F) to compete for one of the guards spots and or add quality depth. Don't count out Ekene Ogboko to make a run at the open tackle slot either. I see him as another potential Andrew Thomas. Our offense will only be as good as our O Line is. We have the RB room; we have the TE room, and the WR room is a 6 on a scale of10 (serviceable). Unfortunately, with Bobo calling the plays and Searels in over his head as O Line coach it may not matter…

Not sure the portal has any linemen left at this point. I concur with your comments on need for change in offensive scheme and/or playcalling. I heard an interview with one of the national talking heads recently and they were discussing O lines. he commented that UGA always has some big guys, but that generally our O line is not technically sound.

Dumb take. Do you think Miami and Indy have better Dabs than us? Of course not…they have a better, meaner, tougher front 4. Ole Miss OLine shoved us around and then got manhandled by the U. We can buy all the DBs we want in the portal or…we can buy a couple Jordan Davis types. I choose B, the answer is always B

"Perhaps Williams can provide for Georgia what Georgia did this past season, while Jones steps into a more consistent role as an outside cornerback."

    Explanation please?

The entire defense has to get better not just the secondary. If there is no pressure being applied and the QB has all day to either thrown the deep pass or run, it will not matter who is covering the WR's. Simply put the pass couple of years the defense has regressed reflecting needs in all phases.

Very reasonable and unfortunately True answer. The one redeeming factor at least we Hope is that all this youth got Allot of game snaps by necessity. Maybe and Hopefully that will flow as better experience and maturity in the upcoming year. Always room for Hope !!
