Get out the big checkbook!
A lot to like in his outlook that would lean uga. However,at the end that why is a bit concerning. Not as in a negative on him for wanting to help his mother/family, but anyone who is feeling the need to help support or pay back their family is going to most likely be more heavily influenced by a larger NIL offer. Who knows what will happen. Would not count uga completrly out on thiz one, but definitely not calling it a slam dunk either
To this or any other young man wanting to help his family as he does, I would say that the process called delayed gratification has much to offer, and in the case of modern college football, it can be facilitated easier than in other facets of life. A more modest amount of aid to family can still happen immediately, and while you have that amount of aid for your family, you can develop as a player, as a young man, and get educated not only in your craft, but in your knowledge, so that you will be able to help your family and yourself for your entire life, not just the next small part of it. Make sure that you can talk to some of the graduated players from UGA, and find out how UGA helped them more than just financially. Find out what "once a DAWG, always a DAWG" really means. Learn about how being at UGA can help you your entire life, even after football is over. When you are looking at comparing NIL money, realize the value that is beyond just the "numbers" for NIL money. Whatever you choose to do, I admire your desire to help your family. That puts you on the right path to start, but make sure the path is a lifetime one. I wish you the best and want you to have success in life no matter what you decide to do, but I hope that success for you involves UGA. Go Dawgs!

We oughta just quit paying our players and make a team of those willing to love the sport for what it is and value the privilege of represent Georgia's flagship university. I'd rather get 8 or 9 wins with players like that than win a championship with a bunch of free agent mercenaries.
