INDIANAPOLIS â Monroe Freeling finished his Georgia football career about as happy as he could be outside of one thing he felt worth mentioning at his NFL Combine podium interview.

and all the crazy talk about some wanting to run him out of “Dodge” after the Notre Dame game last year - rather than giving him props for gutting an injury out to play & help his teammates.

“When my name was called and they needed me to go in, I was so happy to go in and play.” Freeling played 65 snaps against Auburn and didn’t give up a sack or a QB pressure.
That was impressive considering the pain he was in. He hobbled around some but showed some real grit.

Monroe—Thanks for your contributions to the success of the UGA football program. Wishing you the best in the years to come. If a Natty was a be all and end all for you, you still had one more chance to try and get it, but you opted not to. That decision is ALL on you.
