UGA gives you lots of reps. You will get playing time, but will you be ready for it? Sometimes it seems slow and distant, but then your number is called. You get 5 reps. Will you know what to do?
Great way to provide fans with a spring update on the team and how they're progressing and who's standing out to the recruits. Well done!
As screwed up as college football is today, we are blessed to have a head coach of the caliber of Kirby Smart. No, he's not perfect but in the real world he's the closest UGA will ever get to it. Dawgnation needs to cherish every season of his tenure at his and our alma mater. Glory Glory to 'Ole Georgia!
Just hoping that Congress steps in and returns order and common sense to college football. I feel the effects of the current state of the game are starting to make true blue fans reassess their commitment to both the team and to the sport in general. If college sports are not grounded in scholarship, it is hard to justify how universities can justify these teams. College football has turned into a professional enterprise. That is not a good thing for anyone, even the players.
MAybe the greatest line from a UGA player ever was after tha ALbama loss in the SEC game and awaiting the rematch with Bama in the NC game, Trayvon Walker was asked what it was going to take to beat Bama in the rematch, and he said, "We just have to strain harder than they strain'. That's UGA football! It's all about the strain!
The universities will justify these teams with everything they have at their disposal if it means keeping them. Justified or not. There will be changes in the future, who knows how close it will ever be compared to what it was before.
But thankfully we have Kirby and we all have to roll with the changes, like them or not. Kirby is. We control what we can and all we can control is complaining to the politicians. That is it. Then enjoy the ride we are given while Kirby is driving it.
Fellas…IT IS TIME TO WIN ANOTHER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ON THIS RIDE! Yes, yes it is. I actually believe that it is time. Kirby will chase Nick's record!
