ATHENS â Linebacker Zayden Walker ended last season with a lot of positive momentum. He picked up sacks in wins over Texas and Alabama, carving out a role on Georgiaâs defense even in a loaded linebacker room.

I hate to say it, but you can never rely on one guy. Walker is super talented, but he'll need time to heal. Others need to step up - training, running, lifting, learning.
Yawn!!! Meanwhile, Georgia's baseball team is leading the SEC conference and ranked #5 overall in the nation.
The title made it sound like he got injured during the Spring. He will recover from the surgery and be ready to go this Fall. If CKS and company can keep everyone healthy through Fall camp they will take care of business!
GO DAWGS!
Preseason, Georgia wasn't even predicted to be in the top 5 of the conference, much less the country. Leading the toughest conference in the nation this late in the season is no small feat; so the fact that one of the most productive teams in the school's 140-year history of baseball gets so little press is a little surprising. I reckon this is a football site, but a more frequent tip of the hat to our men and women athletes who are doing impressive things in other sports might be kinda nice. Go Dawgs!.
Kind of odd that the pups have a 2.5 game lead and yet Texas is rated higher…I hope they keep it that way come SEC tournament time…great bulletin board fodder. Go pups!
Got that right, same ol same ol, seems Connor "Eeyore" Riley is fascinated with "big headlines" even if they don't match his cut and paste articles…not to mention, he mentions that Zayden's injury is most impactful to our defense when in fact it's most impactful to Zayden's opportunity ti sharpen that raw talent…
Well, I’m not an expert but Walker has playing experience and looked good at the end of last season. He’ll be fully recovered when fall camp starts. Football is not rocket science. Missing Spring reps, while not ideal, is not, imo, all that big of a deal. He should be up to speed by the time the conference games begin. And, while admittedly off topic, could we get Ekene Ogboko’s hometown correct on the roster on this website. He isn’t from Durham, NC. He went to South Garner High School which, surprise, surprise, is in Garner, NC. This isn’t rocket science either.
Yeah, I agree with some of the comments below. I really think the Dawgnation staff has basically started just mailing it in. We get articles on a 3* WR that has “ de-committed” whatever that means or an “ injury” that we’ve all known about for months but pretty much nothing on other sports. The baseball team is amazing, does UGA still even have softball, men and women’s golf, tennis? You would never know coming to this site. But let a football player get a $20 something fine for a silly misdemeanor and we will read about it for weeks. Oh well, GO DAWGS.
