âOklahoma jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, with Georgia never being able to overcome that deficit. The Bulldogs cut it to one late, but the Sooners were able to cling to the one-run lead to secure the win.

Goes to show that Baseball is baseball and even weak teams like OK can somehow play beyond their abilities. Since losing to GA Tech in the first game of the Regionals they have NOT lost yet! We have the best player in the country and still could not beat them with the game on the line tonight! Let's hunker down and regroup and send the horns home and then pound the Sooners for revenge. Go Dawgs!
Phelps needs to be put down lower in the lineup, or use him as a pinch hitter. He’s done nothing since he was ridiculously suspended for his home run celebration.
I hope the Dawgs can win 3 straight, but with them being in a slump like they are, not gonna get my hopes up.
Yeah nothing personal against Phelps but he’s really disappointed me at the plate. I was expecting more power from him. It’s not an impossible feat to accomplish but pretty dawg gone tough to beat TX again , Then beat OU twice to advance. Rough going for sure.
Jackson is slumping at the worst possible time, and has dropped 12 points from his batting average since arriving at Omaha.
Opinion....I was watching those guys take cuts against that Oklahoma pitcher. It appeared to me, they allowed the pitcher they faced Saturday, to effect their swing & timing.
The Bad News....I believe that facing that tall drink of Texas water with the 7½ foot release point in their last 4 or 5 AB's before the game against the Sooners....really effected their eyes and mechanics a little bit.
The Good News....I expect a full recovery, tonite. I suspect they've been working hard on making the necessary adjustments & reset. Afterall....we're talkin' bout Bulldogs.
I bet Kirby Smart was tho'in batting practice after the game last night. Lolol
Go get em you Big Red Dawg, you. Grrŕrr!
IMHO....This Year....UGA has one of the most tenacious Teams they've ever had. Loaded with talent, that Loves to play baseball. That's obvious to me and anybody else that loved to play.
It helps to love what you Do. Practice and training feels less like work and more like fun. It's "fun" to get better...and, see improvement. That's what keeps the wagon wheel spinning. Lol
IMO...Phelps, hasn't had much of an impact, since getting tossed from that game in front of his family and friends.
Over an innocent gesture in an unfortunate direction. Which if I'm not mistaken.…would have normally, been the Dawgs Dugout. He got excited and lost situational control. Understandably so, considering the circumstances....Imo.
He just needs to regain that confidence and swagger that makes him "special".
