I wouldn’t trade Kirby for any of them. He’s an excellent coach and mentor, but most importantly he loves our university and puts his heart and soul into our Dawgs every minute of every day. Go Kirby and go Dawgs!!!

Winning with transfers like Curt did is wonderful but can he repeat? Time will tell if he is for real or a "fluke". Kirby is consistently good. Go Dawgs!

No doubt that Kirby is the best coach. Cignetti just winning one shouldn’t put him ahead of Kirby. Unfortunately, Conner, your first statement is incorrect. A coach in the acc has two NCs, unless you’re including the ones Kirby won as DC.

Cignetti is the real deal with several news outlets picking Indiana to repeat as National Champions, but I'll take Kirby any day and think he is Top Dawg!

The landscape of college football has changed since the Dawgs won their last NC. The question over the next 3-5 seasons is…can Smart keep Georgia relevant in the Top echelon of college football teams and start, once again, to actually compete for the National Championship???

Only time will tell starting with the 2026 season.

And next year they’ll vote Elko number one

Elko has the Bucks at A&M to pay these 17 year olds millions too. Not as much as Texas, but more than most.

What's that faint smell in the wind? Keeps getting stronger every year… NIL.

No active coach has as many natties. I agree, Dabo isn't very active. He even rides a golf cart from his office to the practice field.

In '21, we lost in the SEC Championship game, but won the natty over the team that beat us in the SECCG

In '22, we won the SEC Championship and then won the natty by ( at the time ) the largest margin ever in any bowl game.

In '23, we lost the SEC Championship game by 3 points, and somehow didn't make the playoffs.

In '24, we won the SEC Championship game ( scoring 50 ), and lost in the quarter finals, due to some flukey mistakes at the end of the half and the beginning of the third quarter, to a team that played in the finals

in '25, we won the SEC Championship game, and lost in the quarter finals by 5 points ( really only 3), to a good team that we had beaten earlier in the year, but had too many injuries to play as well as we could. The team that beat us lost to a team by 4 points, and that team lost in the natty by six points. All less than 1 score games!

So, Kirby is all washed up, huh? No longer the best coach? I wouldn't trade him for a dozen of the coaches who have managed to defeat UGA in the time he has been at UGA. I believe that he has found the correction to the changes brought on by NIL and the transfer portal ridiculousness. Continuing to concentrate on recruiting the "right" players ( for ability AND character ), and concentrating more on retention, so you have more experienced players to both play well and ensure that the young players get the best development. The experienced players are just as important in player development of the young guys as the coaches are! GO DAWGS!!!

PS What teams have had the most players drafted in the NFL over Kirby's time in Athens?

I was going to guess Alabama or Ohio State but it darn sure isn’t Hofstra.
