“He’s athletically gifted, strong, big, where he can take on two blockers.”

It’s no surprise that a LB is mentioning a DL taking on two blockers as a difference maker. It’s an incredible advantage to have one or more DL who must be double teamed. A LB with the speed and talent that Wilson has will know exactly what to do in this situation, and it will not go well for whoever has the ball!

    GO DAWGS!

Did Nasir Johnson get hurt or something. He was stealing first team snaps in the spring and he is never mentioned but Ogboko is? Wierd…

Everyone knows about Elijah. During our national championship run, we have 5 stars all over. Now we have one we want to talk about? I've seen how many articles on Elijah - God forbid he get's hurt or no one will have anything to write about. What about Nasir or Ogboko. Who will help Gabe…?

A nice positive article without too much hype. Ready to see these young men strap on the gear.

Man am I looking forward to seeing how his development transpires this season! Griffin is going to be the real deal on the playing field but I gotta ask, How’s he at driving?

And that's UGA's defensive philosophy in a nutshell.

When you have a defensive lineman with that much talent shouldn't we be talking about him beating the 1 OL in front of him and pressuring the QB instead of him occupying 2 OL so a LB can make a tackle?

@UGADad20 I don’t think he gets to choose how many OL are tasked to block him, that’s decided by the OC for the opposing team. We know from experience (2021 season) that when one or more DL are taking on the double team it creates an opportunity for the LB. To your point, if they decide to block him with one OL in pass protection it will not go well for them!
