Interesting...The Athletic has the SECCG as Texas vs Oklahoma with the Longhorns winning. Dawgs end up 10-2 along with the other top SEC teams. No team wins them all in the SEC...
I just don't see UGA as being third with our concerns of no production in the WR room. Maybe Kirby gets desperate and uses the tight ends for something other as blocking dummies. Oil money is going to own the SEC for the next few years.
Texas over Oklahoma and Miami not in the top 5. Interesting. I guess no one believes Mario can get it done.

Whether you agree or not, here is what I find the most interesting. Not a SINGLE first place vote for any SEC team. I repeat, the AP Top 25 college football poll is voted on by approximately 69 sportswriters and broadcasters from across the United States who cover Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams, and NONE of them thought a single SEC team deserved a first place vote. 62 first place votes for Big10 teams, and I repeat one more time, ZERO for any SEC team. Figure that one out will ya?
On the flip side, thankfully only 5 other "sports journalists" agreed with Mike Griffin and chose ND. Not as many catholics left in the world of sports journalism perhaps?
Does that mean Griffith didn’t vote a single SEC team as number on his ballot? I thought he was so high on Texas. I think Georgia is too high. Questions at receiver is a big concern that no voter evidently looked at. Defense looks better, but we won’t know until the 4th game or so. Also, Kirby doesn’t have the “we’re disrespected” argument now.
And we fall for the meaningless, pre season yap trap yet again. All of these sports writers make a living doing nothing more than leading the college sports sheep around by the nose, by infuriating them with non sensical prediction garbage.
Last season is just that Last season. This is a new season. KS and the coaches see the mistakes of last season. Veteran players on the team see the mistakes of last season. Coaches and veteran players help train the new players not to make the mistakes of last season. Dawgs have allot of great veteran players coming back. There is tons of talent and potential among the new players.
This is a Kirby Smart coached football team. The HC that led the Dawgs to B2B National titles and has been right there in the hunt since then.
Last year was not a bad year. It was actually a very good year. NO the Dawgs didn’t achieve their higher goals. But it cannot be recorded as a “bad” year by anyone being realistic. It was GS first year as the true starting QB. People can be trained. People learn.
Practices and Scrimmages are designed to train and teach And identify problem areas. Like dropped passes. Far better to drop passes in a scrimmage than in a real game.
Are there questions and concerns ? Of course there are. I’ve Never seen a preseason where there were no questions and concerns. But all the other teams have those to. This Dawgs team looks very structurally sound to me.
I’m a Dawgs fan. I’m gonna Believe in the team I Love until they give me sufficient reason why I shouldn’t. NO ONE can guarantee we Dawgs fans a National Title. But I can guarantee you this NO Team will pursue that lofty goal any harder than Kirby Smart and his Dawgs !! Go Dawgs !!
