I logged on to check for typically illuminating posts and this strange format change seems to have happened. I'm typing mostly to see if I can still access posts and post for myself.
Me too its hard to see what's new , what's updated etc.
Looks like when you make a comment to a thread it takes the thread to the top of the page…which I think I like…….

After reading all comments and giving UVs, I went back to the main forum page but it still showed 4 comments as new. The old format waited until an additional post was made to show the # of comments that were unread.
Pg we have no clue and had no heads up. All new to us too and it is not favorable so far. Not even sure if we can contact the Admins on it. Appears that some of the Moderators' options are gone…..
I wonder if the forum owners finally decided to pull the plug and this is the default mode…
It pretty much sucks. I've tried to contact JS and I guess we see where it goes….

Poot. I'm just back from 2 weeks in Montana where I had scant cell service and even less internet only to get home and find this new format. Seems like an odd time to lanch it 2 weeks before the season starts. Not ideal imo but since we're not paying for it I guess we really don't have a say.
At top of discussions page set sort by to trending or recently commented. Site is buggy
This looks just plain weird. I am not a fan of this change. I really hope that they switch it back. It was GREAT before. Now?, this is not nearly as good as it was.
I'm still trying to figure out how to make the new format work for me and be fun, and I'm willing to endure a learning curve. That said, having tried to make it work since the changeover, I don't so far like it nearly at much as the old format. We certainly don't need anything to make conversation more difficult. This may be a "free" conversation board, but it is certainly a for profit enterprise dependent on traffic and on what we post here to generate views. Any suggestions as to better places to discuss what we talk about? I've tried other boards and found them to have so many posts that keeping up with a conversation was impossible. I hope the owners of this board haven't killed it. It's a very bad sign that the moderators weren't given a heads up. That they can't get in touch with their overseers might be even worse. Go, Dawgs!
If this is the new format, I'm out. Hopefully this is just a bug that will get fixed shortly.

The second thing is the showing of the party who actually posted a DV….. seeing who your "constituents" are cannot be a bad thing…..
And the third thing is the instant reply to the message that you are quoting….although I can see that a reply might get lost in the shuffle….. as posting continues.
otherwise…. Not a fan! Don't like the black background (as @Max stated, it hurts my eyes as well) , too hard to see what the new posts are, have seen my UVs for other posts simply go away when I continue to scroll down …
yes, thankfully, it is a free service which I like, but I just don't understand the need for the change….what inspired this???
I think the old format did that as well….any time a new post occurred, the thread moved up
which explains why your frequent and wonderful comments outlining your reasons and gratitude for Hating Floriduh always keeps that thread on the first page!!!!!
