He's really good, but it will be a different show against Miami than when he faces Rice, Purdue, and Stanford. The ESPN highlights that will be shown ad nauseum will be from those games. As for Gunner Stockton, he doesn't concern himself with making highlights and would probably rather watch highlights of his teammates. He is the right QB for this team and he has earned their respect. I wouldn't trade him for anyone on else mentioned in this article.

I doubt Gunner will say much if Anything at all about the dis he’s getting from ESPN. But he probably is well aware of it and all it will do is stoke the competitive fire in his gut even more.
I’ve been watching some of last years games. Yeah Gunner made mistakes, but he also did some phenomenal things to help his team win. He did pretty dawg gone well for a first year starter. Better than the highly hyped guy whose name starts with a M !!
And as my brother Dawg fan @GoodOlDawg pointed out very well, Gunner’s teammates Love him and will give their all in support of him. Dawgs including Gunner seem to play better when being dissed !! Go Dawgs !! Go Gunner !!
Gunner is the kind of player you want to be in the huddle with. In the mist of the game that quality is vital.
Warning Off Topic !! But relevant. I have high hopes for our Running game. Hoping Frazier and Bowens will be thunder and lightning !! And Dwight “Peanut” Phillips can be kind of like James Cook.
IF that happens it will give Gunner and the pass attack allot of help as we know the pass and the run compliment each other. BUT at the same time Please Don’t over use the talented TEs as blockers !! Throw the ball to them generously !!
That should help buy some time for the younger receivers to grow some. Just running routes without the ball necessarily coming to them gives them some experience. But we Do have some veteran WRs on this team.
Just me but practicing every day against the Dawgs Defense I’m thinking that Both the Offense and Defense are gonna be better than the “experts” think !! Go Dawgs !!
Watched Gunner several times at Rabun County and he was a great passer AND runner—a yardage and touchdown machine. They've pretty much taken the run away from him at UGA (injury?). I hope this year of experience in college will greatly improve his game.
We know Gunner’s completion rate beyond ten yards was very low. Was he avoiding long passes to keep his interception rate down, which was low? Some commenters in the past have pointed out how he didn’t see or throw to open receivers downfield. Based on his numbers, looking at it from the NFL draft perspective, it would be hard to rate him any higher. Does he have the ability to make intermediate and long passes? I’ll never forget the pass he made to Humphreys in the Tennessee game when he had to do it. Yes, I think he can do more of that if he has the confidence.
