Just drop the student-athlete moniker. This has zero to do with education. College football is semipro ball. There are rocks that can be more intelligent than these “student-athletes” but if they are good players it is what it is.
I’ve been a Dawgs fan for most all of my life so too late to just stop. But leave it to Kiffin to be one of the first to jump in. Anything to win is his mantra.
About as we’ll face the fact that CFB as many of us grew up knowing is dead and buried. It’s semipro ball now. So I’ll cheer for the semipro Dawgs. Sad times. 😥
I don’t say that I understand this at all. But and IF I do it applies right now to only the class of 2022 ? If that’s the case how long before other classes that had only 3 years in college will start suing for NIL and playing time in college Now ?
The old saying is "rules are made to be broken" applies here. The NCAA and now the SEC have zero power to enforce any rule due to the ability to get sued. No telling where we are in two years….

I don't blame Kiffin, one darn bit. He's throwing their own absurd lack of commitment a nd leadership back in their face. Just like the two NBA Players doing the same, in the WNBA.

This is what happens when you get politicians, lawyers, judges and agents involved in sports. They bring chaos. Why don't these players work with their agents to identify opportunities in the CFL or UFL. or maybe use that COLLEGE DEGREE to explore job opportunities outside of football.
