It's been kind of obvious, that Kirby is taking a different approach this Season. When's the last time UGA did that to 2 cupcakes in a row. Without even trying.
In fact...seems they "tried" to give points away to keep from being embarrassed and inundated with "rat poison". Lol...still...70 points!!! After a 63 pointer. Ya gotta pity Arkansas. They're staring a minimum of 50 points down the barrel head.
And, after all the gum-flappin' coming out of Hog Town...I'm that Kirby doesn't make an example of em. Roadkill Hog! Let the buzzards have em.
I believe Kirby's 2026 strategy.....is to Win Games early enough......[1st qtr if possible]..…that he can rotate players series by series...play by play, with a definite training mission in mind for each player. That way...2's & 3's can play with the 1's and get some extremely valuable in-game (communication) experience you don't get in practice, very often.
By the end of the Season....most of the positions and players will be cross trained and interchangeable. Like replacing a part on a Stock Car. That way..."5 injured starters going into the CFP".... Won't matter...or won't happen...cause, they'll have 50 "starters" on hot standby.
"Starter".... has become a situational term at UGA. Imo.

He may not be doing anything wrong, but I think the prolonged break between the SEC Championship game and the next game, which came in the second round of the CFP has served as a disadvantage. If that's so, he needs to find a way to maintain the competitive edge through the break going into the playoffs. I think it might be better to go in as #5 and play #12 in the first round as a warmup game instead of having a bye into the second round. Maybe they could go and play in one of the now "meaningless" bowl games like the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl as a warmup game scheduled the week before the CFP starts!

I would imagine that Helton will be working very hard this week to make up for the wiffs on Saturday. There is no excuse for Gunner getting hit in that game, much less twice.
What's kind of ironic about Silverfield's statement is that he made it while still the coach of Memphis….before he had accepted the Arkansas job.

Ha, it's strange to feel good about the schedule and roster health after some of the recent murderer's row like schedules. It seems to good to be true and makes a lot of us Dawg fans wait for the other shoe to drop, but I do that less of that angst with each regular season that passes with CKS leading the way We can at least say for now that there is greater potential to have a healthier and fresher team in the post season, similar to the 2021 Dawgs team that faced Michigan. It's nice for us fans to look ahead, but I'm sure no one on the team is looking past Arkansas.

The fact of the matter is this: The SEC is, in fact, the toughest P4 conference out there from top to bottom. We have added a 9th conference game. Snap counts matter. In my opinion, Kirby has al ready started realizing that he's going to have to dial the practices back a bit to best make it through a longer season. Like he said earlier this Summer, let's practice smarter, not harder. We don't have the luxury of as deep of a talented bench as prior to NIL, so we've got to keep 1st and 2nd teamers as healthy and as fresh as possible. We do want the Dawgs playing their best football as we enter the playoffs. Cignetti gives players plenty of time off, and his practices are not as grueling as ours have been normally. Focusing on fundamentals like tackling, blocking, and assignment football is smart by the Indiana coach. I am very glad Kirby has dialed things back, even if it's not by that much. It should help 7s in the long run without sacrificing performance and execution. In fact, less is more will probably help.

THe first playoff loss wehad to start a very inexperienced GS agaonst a very good and junior /senior led Notre Dame and while he didn't play bad, he didn't play great either. Last year we muffed an oportunity at the goal line(due to dubious play calling and clcok management) to score a TD and make Ole Miss have to score a TD to beat us. THeir QB made some unbelievable plays to pull the game out,. I'm thinking also of the NC game with Mendoza. HE was the difference maker.
