The Dawgs OL needs a good test like Oklahoma, even if they could be without their star DT Stone. I haven't been very impressed with the pass protection nor the play of Gaston specifically. My bet is Bobo will try and move Gunner out of the pocket and target shorter slants and passes to the TEs (hopefully). If the Sooners limit our RBs then this will be also be a good test of Gunner's passing and play making ability. Honestly, I am really not too worried, because in the end I think the Dawgs will prevail pretty big in Athens.
Good comments as usual !! I feel our O Line goes against a pretty good defensive front every time they practice. Also this is a game where Gunner’s ability to run has to be accounted for by the rivals. Hopefully just about the time they think GS is gonna run they get burned by Reddell or E. Williams. This game will provide some needed adversity but in the end our Dawgs prevail !! Go Dawgs !!
Do we have a normal screen pass play, that takes advantage of a bull rush or a quick pass over the middle? Might be a good way to slow them down a bit. I always hope for more passes to TEs. This is another step up into the meat of our schedule. Looking forward to see our injury report, hopefully almost all clear to go.
I’m pretty sure I’m at least a little crazy. However, if you delete the word “violent’ from this article’s headline, I believe it’s verbatim what I said in a comment earlier this week. I agree with what @jamboogie says. Gotta use TEs more. Plus get rid of ball quickly some way other than that quick screen to the sideline. This Oklahoma defense is stout, fast, and angry. Yep, we’re about to find out just how good our offense really is.
