ATLANTA — Kirby Smart knows Georgia left some plays on the field offensively.

The C- on TEs goes straight to coaching, not those players. From the opening quarter to the final minutes, I was grousing about why we weren't getting our most talented guys involved in the offense, that stellar TE room. Go Dawgs!
I won’t say Im worried but I will say Im some what concerned with the level of Gunner’s play the last 2 games. The AU game was downright poor performance but think you could perhaps lay some of that on the hit he took on the very first play. Yesterday being 2 weeks removed from that injury I would assume that if was no longer a potential problem yet Gunner’s performance was at best mediocre. One off game will happen but when you get back to back ones then it borders on a trend. I certainly think Gunner and our offense will step it up but if we have a similar performance in any of our remaining 3 SEC games I think it’s certainly possible to lose any of them. Go Dawgs!
Couldn't agree more… whatever the TEs were given, they did pretty well with… they just weren't given much.
I do wonder how much of the playbook was "held in reserve" in order to shield it from Ole Miss. Fairly certain there were a number of plays that could have been used if the game had ever gotten out of hand. Thankfully, it didn't!
Hard to complain about a big win over Florida, but I don't get the lack of downfield passes. I kept hearing about Florida's poor defensive backfield play, but that was never exploited. Was it because Gunner didn't have time in the pocket? Did receivers not get open? Did Gunner make poor decisions? Florida was all over the quick sideline throws and Ole Miss will be too.
hope Stockton’s shoulder is not injured from first play vs Auburn. That could explain yesterday’s poor passing stats…
growing up in the 90’s, any win over Florida is an A+.
Go dawgs!
I was wondering the same thing, trying to give coaches benefit of the doubt after it was all said and done. But against a Florida team that usually gives us fits, and that our players and coaches alike have a bit of what I'll just call "ill will" for, I expected the full playbook to be on display. I sure as heck you're right. Go Dawgs!
The entire offense seemed like it was carrying the Auburn loss in a not-good way. Gunner seemed like he didn't want to take downfield shots, receivers were dropping passes more than it seems they did earlier, and everything just felt a little out of sorts. Hopefully, the win will give some confidence and coaching this week can get the players to shake off any lingering negativity.
Was yesterday's QB play a regression or are we hiding something for next week? Has Gunner reached his ceiling? We keep hearing about things to improve on. Still seeing a number of balls batted down at the line of scrimmage (Ole Miss defense will certainly have those big hands up). Replay showed a couple of times guys clearly open down field yet no attempt to get them the ball and that has to change. Makes you wonder if the coaching staff was going conservative and just wanting to control the clock (Gunner ran the ball on consecutive plays in the red zone on one series) and not show many cards going into next week. Ole Miss throttled Auburn. Our offense can't afford to be 'off' like it's been the past two games.
The defense earned an A+, the offense and special teams earned C and C-
The roughing the passer call was a joke. I’ve seen worse not called. The other deep pass Stockton tried was tipped at the line but the receiver still almost made an incredible catch. The pass interference should have been offensive because the gaytor receiver had our DB pinned to him so he couldn’t get his head around. The blind zebras missed a lot and called penalties that weren’t there yesterday, but what else is new? If the offense we saw yesterday shows up next Saturday, it’ll be a long night. Hopefully the defense we saw yesterday will show up the rest of the season. Go Dawgs!
The offense struggled because Bobo's play calling was poor. He consistently forgets to get our best players in the game. We have some of the best TEs in the nation, but they only had 3 receptions. Philips was again our best back, but the injured Frazier was the lead back. Stockton still doesn't look right to me and that might explain why we were run heavy, but why are we running our QB so much? Statistically he was only marginally better than Walker, which isnt much. That said, I like Bo Walker and he will probably develop into a solid back, but in typical fashion Bobo calls his number too much when it should have been more Philips. I'll just say it, Philips should be our #1, Frazier is #2, Walker #4 but shouldn't play until late in the game or we need to give the other two a break. Give me more cowbell and more Philips!
I reluctantly agree with some of the previously expressed QB concerns. I don't think I've posted anything remotely negative about Gunner these past two years, in part because he's a winner, but also because he's one of my favorite players. I love his combination of humility, compete, team, and grit. In fact, beyond Stetson Bennett, he might be pound-for-pound the toughest QB we've ever had, which says a lot. But darn it he might not be quite tall enough to see the field quickly enough. Listed at 6'1", but in reality I'd be surprised if he cracks 6-foot. Yeah, I know there are examples of short-ish dudes in the League, but those are rare exceptions. He's our guy, and I'm glad we have him; but I think we're seen his best (which is pretty dadgum good), and we probably gonna see more batted balls and missed progressions. All the more reason for TEs as option 1. Go Dawgs!
The C- for the TE's is on Bobo. For such a talented group Bobo just flat out fails to establish the TE threat. SMDH.
I gave a thumbs up because of the first sentence. How long are we going to be frustrated with very poor play calling once we get a lead? That common occurrence has caused our last two defeats (Ole Miss in the CFP and Auburn two weeks ago). Fortunately, FL gave us 17 points or we might have seen a third defeat due to poor play calling. it’s puzzling because Bobo has shown us many times he can be an excellent play caller. However, these lapses not only cost us games, they’re confidence killers. Gonna say it one more time, “Keep the pedal to the metal all the time.”
The Dawgs defense, if it stays relatively healthy, can carry this team to a CFP title. The offense really misses a healthy Bowens. The increased frequency of Gunner's batted passes at the LOS is concerning. I hold my breath on any screen pass, and "designed" QB run. Overall though, yesterday's win was quite satisfying. Hopefully the defense has some left in the tank for Chambliss.
