South Carolina is arguably playing as well as any team in the nation while Georgia is coming off its best defensive outing of the season.

"The Commodores are reeling, back to being the bottom team in the SEC with an 0-5 conference mark as freshman quarterback Jared Curtis takes his lumps."
I'll repeat what I said when he signed at Vandy: Curtis will not finish his college career at Vanderbilt. He'll get tired of getting beaten up due to having a below-average offensive line and get tired of having no significant talent around him on the offense to help him out. He was winning state titles just a year ago. He'll get tired of losing and start to worry about how he's being developed for a potential NFL draft, so he'll bounce sometime before the start of the 2028 season.
But at least his Mommy and Daddy get to watch him from the stands get stuffed for three hours. Another "show me the money" kid gone astray on the Dylan Raiola path to obscurity.
"Mike Bobo has his Georgia offense is second in the SEC in third-down conversion rate (51.6 percent), despite a dialed down game plan intended to bring physicality that became even more conservative in the second half after UGA built a 24-0 halftime lead."
I do like and agree with the strategy of possessing the ball on long sustained drives and eating up the clock in the second half when UGA has a significant lead. I think we all understand that a highly effective run game is your best friend under those circumstances and we are not likely to see a lot of WR action. My only concern is the possibility of unintended consequences like having a negative impact on recruiting. UGA has a history of struggling to attract the top talent in the country for this position, and keeping them out of the transfer portal (AD Mitchell and Anthony Evans III). I am extremely impressed with the WR room and the TE room that we have now, but I am a little concerned that if they don't get more targets, it could affect recruiting and we could lose some to the portal. I would love the be wrong about this!
GO DAWGS!
Curtis deserves what he gets. If you can't keep your commitments, don't make them. I'm tired of kids acting like gutless morons. There used to be a time when your word was your bond. Now, even a signed paper doesn't matter. His parents deserve a lot of the blame, as they raised a young kid that is far from being a man. They've hurt their son. Hopefully, he will eventually grow up and produce for society, but it isn't looking good.
Eating clock with long drives will keep the ball away from Chambliss. If FU can run the ball for 312 on them then the Dawgs should be able to run on them. Kirby does not want a high scoring shootout, and will be counting on the defense to keep this thing in check. I just don't see Ole Miss being as good as they were last year.
Jared Curtis, you reap what you sow.. you plant BS dont expect roses to pop up and bloom..
Cconcerning Curtis, you reap what you sow. Don't plant BS and expect roses to pop up and bloom..
Sorry for the double post..
Bobo must have went home in the 2nd half with only 3 pts offensive.
Seems he got what he wanted, a big payout and a chance to start. With a year under his belt he will have suitors looking for his services.
I tend to agree with Goodoldog’s comments about the lack of game activity devoted to the WRs and TEs possibly affecting recruiting and player retention. I realize our receivers are taught to and are expected to block and they do a great job at that but they came to college expecting to catch footballs. I’m not necessarily suggesting we throw the ball 50 times a game but to use an expression “ throw the dogs a bone”. Maybe the coaches are waiting for the right game or right moment to throw to those excellent TEs 10 times or so and maybe a few additional downfield attempts to WRs. I feel pretty certain Kirby and his coaches have recruited high character young men who are TEAM players but these guys are still 18-22 yr olds that would like their moments in the spotlight. For as much as I don’t like it there are many opportunities out there that could induce players to go elsewhere. Go Dawgs!
The great receivers all go to Texas and Ohio State, and yet, both have been destroyed in games. Losing to USC - wow, wow, wow. That's bad. Dandridge is absolutely tearing it up for Georgia. If Blackshear hadn't gotten hurt, he would be the next great one. Bobo is calling a lot of sideline throws still. I know it's part of the system, but I would like to see more stretch plays. Unfortunately/fortunately, the opposing defense is playing back this year.
Curtis showed everyone once again who he is when he didn’t play against Georgia .
I agree with you guys, but the NFL is focusing a lot more in recent years on WRs and TEs who can block along with catching the ball. Kirby is extremely hard core on his expectations of our receivers…..if they can’t block then he could care less about their route running skills. I think a lot of these kids today just want the glory that comes with catching passes and scoring TDs. UGA isn’t as attractive because we expect you to play big boy football and block. We may have to accept it as a foregone conclusion that we will miss on a bunch of soft recruits, but there are still a few tough guys like: Pickens, Bowers and McConkey who want to knock the snot out of you and catch a few passes along the way. Go Dawgs!!!
