Athens Accommodations Help

Coming to town for the Auburn game. A search on Kayak shows most of the decent hotels are already booked that weekend.

Any ideas for other places to look? Houses or cabins to rent for a weekend?

Yeah, good luck. Just keep checking back in case someone cancels their reservations.

This. I went to airbnb when I went to the KY game last year. We stayed at some ex-hippie woman's farm house about 5 miles from the stadium. She was kinda wacky, but her house was nice, had several other rooms, and all were filled. She had a breakfast for the guests the next morning. No TV in our room, but there was WiFi. It didn't really matter, though, because we didn't get back out there until around 11PM, and by then we were dead tired and went to sleep. All in all, a very positive experience....And it wasn't that expensive, either.

Commerce isn’t very far away at all and won’t require the two-Night minimum that Athens hotels will. Seriously, you can be in Commerce in 20 minutes. Also try Chateau Elan in Brassleton if you want something more upscale.

Hotel in Jefferson as well, haven't stayed there so can't speak on the quality.
