Chip’s article today.

I thought Chip’s latest article with him asking an orthopedist about the Zamir White injury was pretty good. Obviously Kirby has already given his own reasoning for having anyone and everyone on whichever unit they can help the team the most, but since some of y’all have been pissed at Chip, I think this shows that he’s just trying to do his job. I fully admit that I was disappointed with how the injury went down and wanted someone to ask KS about it, but in the words of the late, great Jerry Orbach: “When I’m wrong I say I’m wrong”.

Hopefully we can lay off Chip a bit. If you don’t like him then don’t read his stuff but don’t get mad at the guy for trying to do his job. As I said in another thread: he’s damned if he does or doesn’t. He can write one story a week with what he gets from Kirby or he can create content more often and get s#it on for trying to stir up trouble. He doesn’t work for UGA and if you want every article written by BA or another fan, well good luck trying to find out anything about the team.

I don't think it was anything personal. CKS had some great points about why that info shouldn't get out so quick, but I also think it was miscommunication when CKS assumed it had been media, not attendees on social media, spreading the early reports.
Throw in the sting of having a back with the potential of Zamir go down again with an ACL tear, and it's a perfect soup for a pissed off CKS.
I know the media have a job to do. My ex-wife used to be a journalist. The only thing that I thought was a bit unnecessary was the "check off" article telling everyone how CKS and UGA handle supposed obligations to the media. But, glad it's over

Agree. The White question was answered with frustration, anger, heat of battle type emotions. It was fresh. I think Kirby really felt for what White was experiencing. If the question were asked the next day, the emotion of the answer may have been quite different.

Exactly. We got a glimpse of how people inside the sport feel about this stuff behind the scenes.

And I liked Chip’s article on the football writer’s association guidelines. Chip’s scrutiny of the program Is moderate. He’s just asking questions we’d look **** if someone around our program wasn’t asking.
