imageJacksonville's $35 million gain comes at expense of Kirby Smart and Georgia

Yep. As always, it's all about the money. There are lots of "traditions" that come and go and I can guarantee you that if money wasn't involved, the "tradition" would've ended a long time ago (or at least changed).

Georgia simply can't afford to limit it's recruiting potential. I hate to see the game get moved away from Jacksonville because it's unique in so many ways. But it's time to say good bye to the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party...

I've loved many trips to J'ville for GA/FL, but the recruiting game has changed. As much as I hate to see the tradition end, I hate putting my Dawgs at a disadvantage more than that. Time to change. Go Dawgs!

I live an hour south of Jacksonville with both my sister and father both still living there. Love to go to the games almost every year there but for years have thought this game should be moved. IMO it has cost us at least one NC by giving UF essentially a home game every year. I know people will disagree but this game should’ve been moved to home and home a long time ago

If UF fans and administration love Jacksonville and the money it brings to the local economy, they can have their home game there. Bring UGA's home game to Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium and support the Athens economy plus widen the great divide when it comes to Kirby vs. Mullet on the recruiting trail. Win-win for the Dawgs!

I hate that this game is leaving Jacksonville, and yes I hate it because of the tradition lost. If we want to get rid of a tradition, let's stop playing Georgia Tech. I suspect Jacksonville officials (who I never see anything from in these stories) are already working on contingency plans to line up another big rivlary game in Jacksonville. All I know is, for all of the talk about how this game is such a disadvantage to UGA, we STILL lead the overall series (and that's despite the Spurrier years). So if we move the game, all I know is CKS should be bringing home National Championships on a regular basis.

Nothing beats a Saturday football game in Athens. That is the tradition we need to be concerned about. And also the Dawgs tradition of winning. Time to go home/home with the gators.

Lsu and Bama play home and home and it doesn't hurt their rivalry. it's time and i hope we can hang 50 on them in the dump

I think the ultimate goal is to force the NCAA to allow schools to recruit at neutral site games...stay tuned.

I hope they move the Florida game to a home and home. By 2022 Georgia will probably have alcohol sells to the general public and I think that will make the 50 50 split in the poll more for a home and home.
