    1. Herschel
    2. Chubb or Trippi
    3. Garrison Hearst or Frank Sinkwich
    4. Gurley or Moreno
    5. Michel or Edwards
    6. Take a pick because no matter who you choose you wouldn't be wrong, all great running backs and as the article stated this leaves out some great ones, Hampton, Worley, Davis, Brown, Southerland, Tate, Poulos and many others.

How can you leave a  Heisman winner like Frank Sinkwich off a list just because he didn't play in the last few years?

If it's allowed, have to post for my Father (deceased) and me both. Daddy was a 'Dawg all of his life & made sure I was as well. He passed away in spring of 1991, but am mighty sure he would've rated (1) Tie between Charley Trippi & Herschel Walker (3) Rodney Hampton (4) Tim Worley (5) Lars Tate

Since I never saw Mr. Trippi play, have to put Herschel at #1 all by his lonesome. #2 would be Nick Chubb with a razor-thin, close shave #3 for Todd Gurley. #4 has to be Sony Michel & my tie at #5 goes to Rodney Hampton/Knowshon Moreno.
