Home and Home is the way to go! If we land an additional elite recruit every other year that could very well be the difference in winning it all vs a tough lost in the College Football Championship Game.

One factor I haven't noticed being mentioned is the national exposure of the WLOCP. It seems that the game gets the 3:30 slot on CBS every year. I think you have to take into account the loss of that national exposure. Of course, if we are being successful, our games are going to be televised on some network, and almost every college football fan ( and recruits ) has the ability to watch most games except for the SEC network games. The SEC network may not reach all parts of the country while CBS does. The problem would be mostly solved if the NCAA allowed the "home" team in neutral site games to host recruits, or if they allowed games away from a team's home stadium to have hosted recruits ( Arkansas and Texas A&M have such games this year ), then the answer would be to alternate Atlanta and Jacksonville. The game would still unofficially qualify as the WLOCP in both those places, unlike a home and home would. I agree that we need every chance to host recruits in today's recruiting world, and if neither of the above is allowed by the NCAA, then the answer has to be home and home.

Time to say good bye to the WGOCP. Kirby is right, you can't miss any opportunity to get a recruit in your house.

As it is now Georgia and Florida miss entertaining recruits every other year, while LSU and Alabama get to bring recruits into their house for a top 10 type rivalry game. You just can't concede that type of advantage to other top teams...

In addition to hurting recruiting, not having the GA/FLA game as home and home also is not good for the fan base that pays a lot of money for season tickets. A lot of people can't or don't want to go to Jacksonville. So they pay all of that money for season tickets and never get to see the Dawgs play our (former) top rival. As far as the national exposure by always being the CBS 3:30 lead game of the day, I guarantee the GA/FLA game will still be the CBS 3:30 game every year regardless of where it's played. People watching the game on TV don't care if it's in Jacksonville or Athens or Gainesville. They're going to watch regardless. And CBS only cares about how many people are watching, not where it's played.
