Why you should hold off on comparing Jake Fromm to Justin Fields, Jacob Eason after week 1
NASHVILLE — Statistically speaking, former Georgia quarterbacks Justin Fields and Jacob Eason had better season-opening performances than Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm. Fields completed 18 of his 25 passes for 234 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also added a 51-yard rushing touchdown against Florida Atlantic. Eason put

UGA is the only 1 of the 3 to play a Power 5 school. Also, Washington and Ohio St don;t have the running attack of GA.
Eason has a bigger arm. Fields is more athletic. If they were both still at UGA they would be sharing minutes signaling plays to the absolute best quarterback of the three!
I don’t care what Eason or fields does unless either is playing against UGA.
I'd still take Fromm over those 2 5*'s ANY day! Wait until the competition stiffness and THEN we'll see who is the best QB..GoDAWGS!
It Really Was Amazing! It was amazing watching Fields put those passes through those windows!
Never mind that the narrowest looked to be 5 yards wide and the others were 10-15 yards wide.
And he did it while never getting pressured. Amazing performance. I still don't know how he pulled it off.
I hope Fields and especially Eason both have fine seasons. But there really is no comparing the three. Fromm beat both of them and he has accomplished much more so far.
Thank you. FAU is horrible. The defense was like a video game, with the CPU defense set to high school. Kiffin is going to go 4-4 for getting fired, but some other fools will get impressed by the swagger and hire him again.
No need for me to compare, that was done when Jake competed against both of them while running the same offense against the same Georgia defense. Comparing with a different offense against a different opponent is not a true comparison. Fields has a skill set that Jake nor Jacob match, Jacob has a skillset that Fields nor Jake match, and likewise Fromm has a skillset that either of the aforementioned does not match. For Georgia, CKS and staff felt Jake had the skillset to best fit their offense.
You cant compare Fields, Jacob's or Jake's performance against different teams. It's about matchups. Bottom line is 2 of their teams won by 24 and 1 by 27 I believe. Different opponents, so make of that what you will if anything!
And WHO have fields or Eason beat?? Enlighten me as to what "powerhouse teams" those 2 have beaten..they've beaten NOBODY worth talking about. SEC Championship game..did fields or Eason have ANYTHING to do with that win for the DAWGS? Have either helped their team beat UF 2 straight years? Have either won more than 10 games as a starter? Have either played for a National Championship? Have either even played for a conference championship as a starter? Fromm has, but not by himself.........and neither fields or Eason did it alone, they do have teammates..remember?
RE-read my post.. I never said Vandy was stiff competition. I stated WAIT until the competition stiffens. None of the 3 QB's faced a good team the 1st game, but all 3 will before seasons end, and that'll tell the tale.
HAHAHAHAHA 😂😂😂
That's not what you implied in your post..nice backtrack lol
I can’t believe there are actually meatheads out there who would prefer Fields or Eason. Good grief guys, Fromm may not have the statistic, but he shames those guys with leadership and poise. By the way, the Fields led Buckeyes didn’t beat the Vegas odds.....which Fromm did against better competition....and on the road. There’s not 1 chance in Hell that I’d take any QB over Fromm who leaves town the minute the competition gets too tough.
Obviously Eason and Fields knew who the best QB was between the hedges without looking at stat sheets. They left Athens because it was clear the real leader would be the starter. .
They are different types of players at the position. All three are probably better suited for the teams they are on now. UGA was never going to throw enough to really showcase Jacob fully, and was never going to change the offensive philosophy to suit Justin's abilities. Jake fits for what we want to do on offense better. I'm not saying those other guys couldn't have adapted but it looks like it worked out for all three kids.
Dont start this CR.... UGA fans not interested
