In the first game of the season, the Georgia Bulldogs picked up a 30-6 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores. It wasn't the flashiest performance from the offense, but after staking to a 21-0 lead in the second quarter, Georgia never really felt threatened. The Bulldogs remained at No. 3 in both the AP and Coaches

Kanell makes a habit of such when it comes to UGA and SeC in general. The Tennessee of college football analyst.
Kanell - doh!
It will be decided on the field, not on a keyboard
This is why we shouldn’t play cupcake schools.
Kanell is a poor man’s Colin Cowherd. None of this matters anyway because it’s Week 2.
Does anyone really take Kanell seriously? He is on the same plane as cowherd, two of the most annoying opinions in sports.
Who is Danny Kanell? What does he know anyway?
Unless the dawgs win the SEC the committee will find a way to keep UGA out
While it's fun to read and track opinions, who gives a **** about early September perceptions? Since y'all started the conversation, it would be far more interesting to compare early September to early October to early November to early December.
We played a division rival not a cupcake. Also, every school schedules "little sisters of the poor" schools.
The only time that rankings matter is after the last ranking after championship weekend. That will come in early December. Until then, it's all a beauty pageant (and is still that, somewhat, just look at last year). I, of course, hope that we are highly ranked. Look at what happened the week we jumped Alabama year before last.
I could really care less about rankings. We could fall out of the top 10 and as long as we win, we're in. No one is going to leave the SEC Conference Champion out of the Playoff.
More bad news for Tennessee fans. Smokey, the hound dog, was reported to have entered the transfer portal.
It's up to Kirby to change the perception of this football program. The performance against vandy was good but not great particularly in the first half. I was impress with the defense the entire game but the play calling by Coley in the second half was terrible unless he was trying to get the receivers acclimated to the offense. They are good enough to win a national championship this season if they don't shy away from the run especially when the RBs are on a roll and Zamir White IS THE ONE!!
