I fractured my ankle when I was 23. I was stubborn too. I put it in a boot for a few days and then wore an ankle brace for a couple weeks. Now fast forward to 29, I have bone spurs in that ankle as well as arthritis. My suggestion would be to think about the long game and take care of your body. Learn from my mistake.
