GO DAWGS!!!
Toss sweeps and reverses. Some times they work and sometimes they don't, BUT, it gives the defense something to think about. WE gave THEIR FRONT nothing to think about. Plug the holes between the tackles is it
I agree w/ Zeier on running WR's in motion & getting defenses into looks they are not accustomed to seeing.
I do believe our O-line is to big, great for pass protection, not so good for run blocking against quicker D-linemen. The offense is supposed to be the aggressor, not the defender. O-linemen HAVE to get off the line & make contact with the D-linemen in order to dictate where the play is going, not visa-versa.
Agreed... Good assessment I thought. JF did not have a great game but errors really were spread around other positions as well. In a position like QB you better have the team ready to pick up the CQB on occasion to overcome those bad games that are inevitable from the position.
Seems when things go well, Fromm gets credit. When they don’t, Coley gets blamed. Coley is a big boy, and gets paid the big bucks, so it’s understandable. But makes you wonder what’s the truth.
Great assessment by Zeier.
Coley has skill and the execution was so bad it’s hard to grade him b/c of SC, but you have to wonder if Zeier would take an OC position at the right school. He’s very knowledgeable.
But coley hasn’t done a truly great job against a halfway decent team team all year. Struggled with Vandi, struggle with ND, struggled with UT. Pooped his pants against SC.
at least we’ve seen JF have a few really strong games showing he can make big time throws (only if given time thought).
