Until we win a NC this will keep happening. With our current offensive philosophy that’s probably not going to happen any time soon. We are the Wisconsin of the SEC and they aren’t winning any NC’s either. We have wasted or lost more talent then anybody. It looked like that had ended when Kirby came in but now it’s ground hog day. The fans have good reason to be upset. These are just the facts until proven different. I would love to be proven wrong.

As a life long DAWG fan, I would be lying if I said losing Gilbert to LSU didn't hurt a little....but as a fan I can't say it was unexpected. After all, we had the #1 rated TE in Nauta and didn't utilize him enough, we had Ford and didn't incorporate him in the offense and he left us and we have Woerner and don't utilize him enough. We have great running backs and a great offensive line but we falter as an offensive unit at times because we don't utilize the entire offensive unit. What happened to the slants and short passing game that has provided great results in the past? It's great to see Swift, Herrien or White bust a play for 15-20 yards but it would be just as amazing to see a TE or receiver catch a 5 yard slant-in and run for an additional large gain after the catch. The Dawgs are slowly but surely becoming so easy to game plan against because of their disregard for a complete offensive scheme. I'm not slamming Kirby or the coaching staff, just explaining the facts that the offense is becoming stagnant and boring very fast. Better create a little better game plan before taking the field against UF, AU or Mizzou. Go DAWGS!!!!!

Until our offensive philosophy changes, pulling top receivers and/or tight ends from any state is going to be a challenge. The visiting recruits see our receivers and tight ends are physical blockers first and receivers second. I’m amazed LSU was able to recruit receivers at such a high level for so many years despite stubborn Les and his ground and pound philosophy that was his ultimate demise that sent him packing

And now that coach O gave up the control on O and handed the keys over to the offensive coordinator, look what’s happened over in the bayou.....and the top TE in the state is taking his services there bc he sees opportunities to shine, not be a blocker

When you struggle against Tennessee & Kentucky & lose to South Carolina, isn't the recruiting thing just a little bit overblown? You do need good players, but coaching the players you have is more important, IMO.

Unfortunately we will lose to Florida and Auburn because we have no imagination on offense. I can sit on the sofa and predict the next play call. Run, run, low percentage pass to the sideline. The other team knows they just have a few things to defend. What’s wrong with being a dynamic offense. It’s what Bama and Clemson have done and look at who is winning the NC’s. I guess Kirby knows better. I don’t get it.

kids want to be on big stage game winning teams. You win these games and recruiting becomes much easier.

A lot of analysis but pretty simple in this case. Check Arik's comments about his focus - he's watching the tight ends - in the passing game. He sees himself as a pass-catching tight end (which he is). How prominent are the tight ends in the UGA offense? Unless you love playing two and blocking outside linebackers all day. Doesn't take a scientist to figure this out. Players are going to go where the team fits them - not just as people - but with respect to scheme and approach. Just not a good fit. Ben Watson was a long time ago.

Saying that Georgia hasn't gotten the top player in the State of Georgia is a bit disingenuous. After all, Nolan Smith is really from Savannah, even though he attended IMG Academy in Florida -- and he was the #1 player overall last year in some ranking systems.

UGA is too big a program to go with a 2nd rate inexperienced OC. Doesn't make any sense other than CKS wanted to keep Chaney's scheme and wanted to keep running the ball up the middle. Imagine what we could be like with a sure enough offensive guru, like say a Lincoln Riley. All those blue chippers staying home?

I’d rather get Darnell and/or Theo so I’m not losing sleep over Arik. Besides, he has never acted like he wanted to stay home and play for UGa. I don’t think the 247 Crystal Ball ever had him leaning toward UGa....usually it was Bama. We likely would not have a chance for the other previously mentioned blue chip TEs if Arik had picked UGa. Go Dawgs!!!

THe games with Fla, Auburn, and Texas AM will tell the tell for CKS. He's not going anywhere anytime soon but he has gone all in on with the run- first pass if you have to philosophy. He has the Dawgs to make it work or at least there should be no excuses if it fails. ONe of if not the best offensive lines in the country we keep hearing. A Heisman caliber back. What could go wrong, right? BY most of the writers on this site's opinion a very good if not great defense. Again what could go wrong, right?

But the elephant in the room is somehow we ended up with 2 fifth year transfers as starters at receivers who weren't even on the radar screen this time last year and one talented freshman who is just too green to be a major player in big games(so far). How can this be? THe answer has to be in the type offense we run didn't attract enough excellent receivers to stockpile a few and we got severly depleted when the one remaining good holdover got booted off the team. What have we shown potential receiver recruits this year? NADA!

Lets say we lose to FLA and then to Auburn(very real possibilites) and then what if Texas AM comes in and uses the same "blueprint" and they pull off the win. THen CKS will have some serious explaining to do. And if you think things are negative now about his offense. You aint heard nothing yet. and if you think the boos have been loud, better buckle up.
