Jeff Sentell should issue an apology for not proofreading the title of this story.

Guess Mary Beth Smart must have heard from the Athens Junior League that such language was "unacceptable, I do declare!"

    I personally liked it.

No apology necessary, Kirbs. We loved it!

Don’t love this apology. Belicheck would never apologize for something like this and neither should Kirby. Love the passion from my coach and it’s football so that is just part of the language.

Not very Vince Doolyish or Mark Richtish. Not even Nick Sabanish. But I'm sure most the players enjoyed it. The times they are a changing.

Did not see any reason for an apology. Anyone who has been in a locker room or served in the Armed Forces, especially pre-1990, has heard (and probably used) language far more colorful than that. Just my opinion.

Locker room talk is just that, it belongs there. It is another thing all together to brag about the comment at a press conference. Thank you Coach Smart, apology accepted.

To all of you younger ones. Our society is changing, becoming course and ****. People are losing the ability to express themselves without resorting to profanity. In a life as a street cop, investigator and rescue specialist as well as a platoon leader in combat in SE Asia, I have heard more profanity than most of you will in your lifetime. I have also used it more than I care to admit. While it doesn't offend me, I usually find it does not enhance my opinion of the speaker, especially when they are leaders and representatives of society's institutions.

Mary Beth Smart is correct. CKS's statement was sincere and I respect anyone who has the courage to correct a poor choice in conduct.

It pays off to listen to your wife, coach. Now on to Texas A&M. Go Dawgs!

Emotional game, emotional response. What's with all the ****'? Finally a coach with balls and doesn't have to apologize for anything. He represents the University Of Georgia, I understand, but as a long-time season ticket holder and a long-ago UGA graduate, I have spent a lot of money and I have Kirby's back on this one. If the school/wife made him to apologize, I guess you have to do what the boss says to keep the peace. All in all nobody can dispute the results and no doubt will continue for the foreseeable future. Sometimes emotions run high and if that is all he said, then he is in good shape. That's in the past and Texas A&M is in the future. Time to get started for Saturday's game. Go Dawgs.

This apology was spot on and very much needed.

I don’t know why any coach at any level thinks they need to use that kind of language. Post game press conferences should not have to be censored.
