CBS reporting that there are "substantial whispers" of Matt Luke to UGA. Hope it works out. This could keep our historic OL recruiting class committed to UGA. OL commit Lindberg sent out a recent tweet indicating that he is still solid to UGA - good news. Need to lock up the other 4.

I would trade Pittman for Matt Luke all day long. Luke is a strong recruiter, loved by his players & had some of the best o-lines Ole Miss has ever seen. He is not going to get another HC offer anytime soon and UGA would give him a chance to come in and strengthen his reputation with a stockpile of talent and recruits. He also brings in experience with an up tempo offense. Who knows, maybe some of the Ole Miss cream the crop follow him. Kirby needs ot move quickly.
How long could a Matt Luke remain under Smart is my question? Two different coaching styles. Matt would be a good one, yes, but I just do not believe he would pitch his tent alongside Coach Smart. Could be wrong...depends on how much he wants to resume coaching.
Word is, we just hired Luke.
Great news!!! Sounds like he could also be a “co” offensive coordinator which may help our situation and he’s done that job at several universities. Also, he has coached TEs along with the OL......maybe we will see our TEs do more than block. Go Dawgs!!!

What would be great is if he brought Plumlee with him. He is the reason that they were the 2nd leading rushing team in the SEC. His speed is for real. Let him sit out a year, and learn to be a better passer, and then he would give Ga the much needed mobile qb.
