Now that football season is over, what do you guys do on the weekends? I spent this past weekend at a hockey game in Macon, GA and would highly recommend it as a decent substitute. Fun sport to watch, plus there’s a ton of fights and hits going on
I try to find something to build (woodworking.) I give myself one big project each spring. Last year was self-irrigating raised bed planters for the wife.
This year I’m planning to do more weekend road trips as well as one trip to Spain. Any recommendations for weekend trips in the SE? May be worthy of a new thread.
I’m also interested to hear others’ hobbies, especially things to do/read online to fill the off-season Dawgnation news lull after NSD but before fall camp. I tried stocks/investing but quickly realized I’m the kind of guy to buy bluechips and hold, not one of these day trading types who needs to follow news everyday.
I shoot pool, pick a 5-string, and keep my wife contented when I'm not working. Right now I'm enjoying a Cuban cigar provided by my employer's husband (a once a month or less indulgence).
Does lifting and jogging actually count as a hobby? That keeps the endorphin & dopamine levels steady on the reg. Plus the annoying nephews and niece are over a lot because their daddy and mommy live next door. Evil rotten snot monsters
UGA Hoops!
I reach out to interdemensional beings. (cough, cough DMT)
Coach, ref and keep saltwater fish tanks
Heck yeah it does.
You got the best of both worlds, get to play with rc cars & storm troopers with the kiddos but still watch Mandy does Macon in peace..
Do they touch you? One time I was touched by a succubus.
No but they speak to you with their minds. Seriously.
Are you sure that you aren't a victim of the CIA's MKUltra program?
No but I got kicked out of the Weapon-X program. I have 2 swords and a cool red and black tight suit.
The merc with a mowwth!?!?!?!? Omg!!
Shhh 🤐 ... I can also say Chimichanga in 7 languages.
👀🤞
I thought about posting the "Qualifications" scene from "Blazing Saddles," the "Qualifications" scene from "Blazing Saddles" - Yes, I know I said that twice - as my off season hobbies and maybe get a laugh.
But, 46 years after the fact, we don't seem to take a joke quite as easily, so I'll just say my off-season hobbies are the same as on; kayaking, fishing (fly, spin, salt, fresh, puddles that look like they might be holding something), learning to mill lumber, wine, grillin' & song.
And being glad Mel Brooks came along when he did, not any later.
