Cochran is definitely going to help recruiting. Just imagine this guy walking into a recruits house. He is a legend in the college football world for motivating young men. I can already see special teams players flying down the field attacking the player fielding the ball. Why? Because they know when they make a play and reach the sideline, a crazy man (in a good kinda way) is going to be the first one on the field, in his face, yelling “that’s how you do it.” Young men respond to this type of positive reinforcement. Go Dawgs!

Assign him to recruit Tim Keenan. Perfect player to replace big old Jordan Davis. Coach Cochran will be a great recruiter for the state of Alabama. We have been talking about how upset Nick Saban probably is, but Malzahn probably said a few choice words too.

He sounds like the second coming of Erk Russell.

And Kirby continues to pick Nick's pockets, legally.

Fellow Dawg fans let's be realistic here, If Cochran turns out to be a star on the on field coaching and recruiting, he's going to be awfully hard to hold on to in the coming years. Of course, staff attrition in higher rated positions will likely delay that moment of reckoning.
