I can't understand how 2 kickers get drafted but Hot Rod doesn't. At least this situation with the Colts looks good for him.
Please, explain to me how in the HECK did the kicker from Georgia Southern get picked over Rodrigo??? Who does that??? I honestly don't know what these scouts are looking for.
It looks like NFL decision-makers made some decisions based on only one game: GA-SC. Did none of them remember the playoff game with Oklahoma?
Rodrigo will one day be one of the highest paid kickers in the league. Hot Rod will be missed but never forgotten.
Hot Rod found a home in the NFL with the Colts...that is what matters. They needed him, as they "booted" their hyped kicker, Adam Vinatieri, off the team. That opened the door for Rod. They could not have made a better choice. Now, go set some more records Hot Rod!! Congratulations!!!
