I've never really understood why the over/under shotgun is so well thought of. I mean... it's still a shotgun. I know they're highly desired for skeet and game shooting but.... they do the same thing a pump action does IMO. I've always sort of suspected it's one of those high money = high value scams they pull on folks. But i'd be interested in hearing why they're so good, and so $$$$.
I carry a Sig P320 9mm. Love the striker system.
Don't get me wrong Glock is good, and has its purpose. But overall nothing beats a Sig Sauer.
This is also the gun of choice by the U.S. army and a lot of LEO's.
Just get with a good kydex holster maker and have them build to your liking. Or go leather.
I collect and trade colt revolvers, the snake series revolvers mostly. I have several: Python’s, diamondbacks, king Cobras and anacondas
I also buy the Remington nylon 66s anytime they pop up and I can get in reasonable, don’t know how many of them I even have to be honest
rifles I have are mostly bergara and browning. Love the 6.5 PRC rifle round.
shotguns are berettas or older Remington 1100s
pistols that i shoot and carry are mostly all FN. I love the FN 509

Browning 30-06 (BAR) I got for Christmas when I was 13.
Mossberg 12 gauge I bought when I graduated from college. It was my last gun purchase.
They pretty much cover all my gun needs.
Never owned or shot a handgun. I have no problems with them. I have never had a need for one.
Now, if you want to talk bows? Well, I have gone through enough of those to outfit several hunting camps.
More times than not, my guns sit shining on the wall as my bow goes with me to the woods...
Side note - my break-barrel 12 gauge I got for Christmas when I was SEVEN (parenting?) has been missing since I went off to college. I would give thousands just to have that sucker back...
I really like the Springfield pistols, my EDC is a XDS, favorite shooting pistol is the XDM. For some reason they just feel better to me than any other.
I have an xds and xdm, they are great guns. No complaints of any kind on them, but I prefer the FN pistols
I have a little Ruger LCP II that I like to pocket carry currently. I really need a P365.
I have a Glock 23 that I used to carry. It sits on the nightstand now. It was replaced on my hip by a Magnum Research 1911. Can’t open carry or carry to work where I live now, so the 1911 sits at home too.
Haven't shot a FN, only last 10 years or so have been shooting pistols. Youth and young adult years were all spent looking down the barrel of rifles and shotguns.
I've been hunting and collecting shotguns pretty much my entire tired old life. (which in NO way makes me an expert) But if the proverbial gun to the head decision was put to me regarding only one shotgun I would quickly answer.

Good looking gun that is a reliable work horse in the field. The two barrels give it a lot of versatility from clays to upland hunting. As well, compared to many other guns in its class they can be found at a fairly reasonable price. Only comes with the OU (over, under) barrels.
For a SS (side by side) I would go with my other favorite two barrel set. Winchester Model 23 Golden Quail. Winchester also has a Model 101 Pigeon grade two barrel set which has OU barrels.
As an aside, I sometimes have to remind myself that I have rarely ever lost money on a gun. In most cases I will sell one at a profit to buy up on another.
BTW if I were just starting out with a shotgun today, I would be advised to not get anything too fancy. I'll never forget the first time I ever shot skeet. All I had was an old Ithica model 37 20 gauge pump. Those around me had guns costing 10 to 20 times more. I shot Olympic or as I called it hunter style. After the first few rounds what I will not forget were the looks of respect I got with that old $200 gun.

Was a big reloader back in the day. Owned a S&W model 27 .357 with 8 3/8" barrel. I estimate I shot 7000 rounds through that gun. In retrospect, I would have favored a 5" or 6" barrel. Great gun.
Also owned a colt .45 semi-automatic or 45 ACP and a Remington 12 guage.
I only have 2 pistols. Home protection: Ruger GP 100 357 magnum. Have a SC CWP for my Ruger LCR .38.
Pretty accurate with the GP 100, less so with the LCR.
Hope I never have to use for real, but in these times...
Love shooting. I carry a glock 43 in the summertime and a glock 19 when it’s colder.
Scariest looking gun I ever saw was a deuce and a half with a turret containing four 50 caliber machine guns, apply named “Canned Heat”. Long time ago in a land far away.
Agree about the Sigs. P365 has replaced my old Glock 19 compact I used as a travel gun. Now the Glock lives in the bedroom and the Nickle Hi Power that was there stays in the safe.
Got to admit this threads got me thinking about not only how many firearms, but also fly rods, and fly reels I need to thin out.
