Oh goodness, nice effort there Jon, but please. Talking about Brock and Carson and about how "highly rated" they are/were coming out of H.S., but at the same time acting like JT's body of work and ratings don't count for anything. What was the ranking of QBs when he came out? 247Sports: Lawrence, Fields, Daniels. MaxPreps: Daniels #1. Started and played a full year at USC when he should have been a SR in H.S. Took a DOUBLE class load to graduate a full year earlier (so no final year) of football and still broke Matt Barkley's records, threw for over 12,000 yds. and 152 TD (in three years). As a JUNIOR, he was the Gatorade Football Player of the Year and won the Male Athlete of the Year award. I don't believe there is a GA player in history who did that.
And, despite the internet chatter, USC begged him to stay (after his injury-shortened Soph season). Now, that's HS and College, and no quarterback-guru Kirby Smart watching practice. But here's the skinny: If Jon says there is no quarterback, including JT Daniels (and Carson Beck), who could match 9 for 29 with three picks and a fumble and overthrowing wide-open receivers, then somebody should answer for brining Daniels and Beck to campus.
You're telling me they would go what - 8 for 30? Four picks? Five? I expect we're going to find out Saturday because JT is going to get a shot. If he can't measure up, then maybe he needs to leave and UGA needs to think about their QB evaluation and development. Don't just look at Trevor, look at the kid who replaced him? So, GA was betting on one untested savior, Jamie Newman, and he was all UGA had for their QB room? One thing Jon said that was spot on: it would be nice to see one of these blue chippers come to UGA and stay there. UGA would have launched a parade to have Daniels as a freshman; that was his pedigree. Now, if he's suddenly a dog, and not a Dawg, it's time to cut bait and tell Carson to buckle his chin strap.

Thanks DeppDogg, I've been extolling JT's accomplishments on here for some time now. The kid hasn't forgotten how to throw a football. I've been saying, watch any of his highlights and you will be impressed; not just by his arm talent but by how he can survey the field and locate the open receiver.
I distinctly remember after Fields left that someone(writer on DawgNation) quoted CKS as saying Fields, "didn't show him that much in practice". I know I'm not making that up.
Yes, with UGA injuries, and still not settled at QB, you better really take Mizzou seriously. I picked them for an upset earlier. UGA is in trouble and I hope they can see this? How can you pick UGA a favorite ...when you don't even know who QB is? What is the basis of the poll? Maybe JT will jump in and save the day...or Beck..certainly not Mathis. There is something wrong in Mudville, folks. I want UGA to mop up Mizzou...will they? Name the QB that is going to do it? Who?
So, according to your assessment of JT Daniels, he is to this team what Stetson Bennet was to UGA in 2017. Just a good practice team type of talent? Yeh, right.
If he transfers to some team and lights it up then you think the Fields transfer was a bad look. CKS wouldn't be able to survive that mistake.
