Georgia basketball dominates LSU, Sahvir Wheeler turns in triple-double

ATHENS — Georgia basketball had the breakout game it had been waiting for, dominating what had been a red-hot LSU team on Tuesday night at Stegeman Coliseum. Sahvir Wheeler recorded the program’s first-ever double-double, leading the Bulldogs (14-9, 7-9 SEC) over the Tigers (14-7, 9-5) by a 91-78 count. RELATED:

Thrilled to finally see some basketball success at Georgia. Not sure what is more surprising though- that the Lady Dawgs signed two McDonald’s All-Americans in the same recruiting class for the first time, or that the men's team recorded its first ever triple-double in program history. Or, honorable mention- that the first player to record said triple-double is only 5-10. Or better yet, thanks to those famous AJC proofreading goblins, that this was the program's first ever *double*-double.

At any rate, congrats to Wheeler and the Dawgs on a solid win!
