Gilbert is a much bigger loss for Florida. Emory Jones is a 56% passer.

An all American type TE with great pass catching skills and range would be able to get to some of those errant passes.

I doubt Gilbert comes to UGA. He could, and I wish he would. It's just that he's had two chances to pick Georgia and he picked another team both times.

Fortunately for Georgia, Kirby Smart and his staff have no problem signing Blue Chip HS TE's.

CKS or his staff is often criticized for not coaching up players. What if we got both of these guys? Not sure if we can get one.....but if we did and they were incorporated to help this team win then what would be said about CKS/staff?

Clemson's defense will be stout and their greatest strength against the DAWGS. As is usually the case in big games, the winner will ultimately be decided at the line of scrimmage. That along with turnovers trumps any other concerns.

It would be great to get one or both of these guys, but I'm certainly not expected it.

I’d like to see a sports reporter have the guts to ask Emory Jones how he feels about his head coach making comments that essentially state that he (Jones) is “a scout team player”, and not considered a starting caliber player or part of a “great” team that happened to win the SEC East in 2020!?!?

I think it is a more than fair question and one that deserves an answer at SEC media days. And if Mullen tries to hide Jones from the media, then the question should be asked directly of Mullen.

Mullen stuck his proverbial foot in his mouth and said something (several times postgame and in the virtual press conference afterwards!) that should be questioned and he should be held to account for.

You can bet your bottom dollar that if Kirby Smart or Nick Saban made comments anywhere close to that after the UT Sugar bowl loss or when Alabama was blasted by Clemson in 2018 that reporters would be asking those questions until they were blue in the face.

The comments could easily be construed as an insult to Emory Jones because he took over 1/2 the snaps as QB of that game, starting almost the entire second half and also scored the only TD in the first half for the gators because their “non-scout” Heisman finalist QB threw 3 interceptions in the first half alone.

Emory Jones’s QBR was 3.5 times higher than their “starting” QB, and that was with the same “scout team” that Trask had to throw to.

How about it DawgNation sports reporters?

UGA needs defensive backs, they don't have a need for a TE. Why oh Why was Kendrick dismissed from Clemson? Dabo speaks that he wasn't disrepectful, yet he was dismissed. As Jack Webb used to say "Just the facts maam."
