Wow, did the reporter really phrase the question that way? I could understand if hype was just falling out of the clear blue for Georgia. Like if we were everyone's far-and-away favorite to win it all. But seen as the team to beat in the East, and a contender to simply make it to the playoff? That's not "falling in love." That's acknowledging reality.

Honestly Brandon, I was waiting for some smart arse thing, he said, but it was rather mundane IMO. How was he supposed to answer it for his guys? "Yeh, UGA looks awesome?

Regarding Kirby’s comments about the transfer portal, Reading between the lines, my guess is that IF the Dawgs had to go searching the portal for a rush D-end or a big O-lineman of the caliber that can start in the SEC, those would be like hen’s teeth. It seems easier to find D-backs and WR’s maybe because there are more of them?

Before so many seasons, national commentators have talked up Georgia's potential playoff run. After talking it up, they always deride UGa fandom's high expectations. What fan doesn't have positive expectations before the season? What long time UGa fan (raised on Dooley and Munson and having lived thru the black years of the 1990s) doesn't harbor that secret fear that those expectations will be dashed by that one loss?
