How do you know what Kirby is saying publicly is what he is saying privately? How do you know that Kirby is not building up the kids behind the scenes but telling you something else?
How do you prevent "rat poison?" Don't give the press something to write about.
How do you prevent giving something to Clemson for the bulletin board? Don't give the press something to write about.
How do you prevent outside pressure get to the team? Don't give the press something to write about.
Then the press says, "Kirby Smart is not giving us something to write about!" EXACTLY! It just means youse guys in the media has to find something to talk about and that makes for bulletin board material!

I remember talking to you at Marlow’s in Dunwoody before the 2017 season and you said that a victory against Notre Dame would set the Dawgs up for a special season. You were right then and I suspect that a win against Clemson will do the same this year. I think they will get it done.
