I hope Tate recovers quickly, but we blocked well for our RBs and only gave up 1 sack after the injury last night. The OL is not high on my list of concerns with the offense right now. Salyer looks really good at tackle, but he might well prove to be a great guard when and if he's moved.

Big loss. By the end of the regular season Ratledge would have been the Dawgs most consistently dominant OL. Reminds me of when UGA lost Cleveland in his (RS?) freshman year. Shaffer needs to clean up his game. Hopefully some other guys develop and step up.

It seems every team is reporting more of these injuries each season. The average appears to be 2 per team. The majority require surgery and the recovery is 3-6 months. The good news is almost all make a full recovery with no long term negatives.

Trying to find something positive, it is good this happened in the first game as opposed to later. Rutledge can take a medical redshirt. Given how easy the schedule is until the SECCG, the team has plenty of time to adjust.
