I don't ant to hear this crap about jinxes or hope--Georgia is winning the Natty and beating Alabama 42-17 on December 4th. Alabama once again need the referees to save them with an obvious face mask call that the paid for ref. picked up at the end of the game that would have solidified the Auburn win.
What was that picked up face mask call about anyway?
According to the tv announcers it should have been, by the rules, a face mask penalty, even though it was an ear hole grab.
Clearly the ref saw it. We all saw it. Why was the flag picked up?
We will have to play lights out on Saturday, but that's not news.
Go, Dawgs!
Williams was out much of the game due to a targeting penalty. He's very dangerous, but I think we can cover him or at least keep him from big plays. Bryce Young is going to pick us apart if we give him enough time in the pocket. Auburn's defense showed Kirby the blueprint for how to stop the Tide. Heavy pressure on Young (Auburn had 7 sacks), control the line of scrimmage and stuff the run game. Auburn's secondary did a marvelous job at sticking to Bama's receivers. Our guys are going to need to do the same.
It's not rocket science. Kirby, the coaches, and the team knows they are much better than the Tide this time around. No excuses. Finish the drill, Get 'er done...on to the playoffs.
This game is over already...42-6. UGA defense superior to Auburn's and Bama's. Recall UGA 34 to 10 over Auburn earlier. Williams could pose a threat, yes, but a beatable threat. Pressure Bryce, which UGA is famous for and game over. I don't see this as a close game as some do. Bama has heart....they did come back...finally. Both Tigers and Tide are good teams but not elite. I feel UGA is elite. Play to their standard and its a big win for Smart.
Final CFP Playoff teams: 1. Georgia 2. Michigan 3. Cincinnati 4. Oklahoma State
"The Georgia defensive front has shown great discipline with its pass rush, however, and hasn’t allowed many quarterbacks to escape outside of an occasional QB draw."
Hey Mike, so you think you could give Connor a quick tutorial on comma usage? He likes throwing "though" into the middle of a sentence without any commas around it. I've commented about it multiple times under his pieces but he doesn't seem to check in on the comments like you do.
