"Stumbling Drunks"....LOL...Those are fans that managed to bring in enough alcohol to serve themselves. Has nothing to do with sales at the park. As a former State Trooper, I would expect you to know this without being told.
Southerners are known to bring a personal flask to games. My Dad did, I did...heck a lot of people do. But, most people don't drink to the point of intoxication. Those that do...will do it with or without sales at the Parks. I know you know this...if you are indeed a Cop. Also, alcohol isn't the only substance that can cause intoxication. Especially, these days.
One 12 Oz beer contains approximately 1 ounce of alcohol. The human body dissipates 1 Oz of alcohol per hour. I challenge you or anyone else to get, and stay, "stumbling drunk" on 1 beer, from the 7th inning to the parking lot at the end of a game. LOL...I assure you, beer sales at ballgames is not the big deal you and others are trying to make it out to be.
People that are irresponsible enough to drink and drive are the problem. I suggest we treat people like the adults they are. The drunks are gonna get drunk, whether you condone it or not.
Beer and Baseball is a tradition!
LOL...Don't forget the hot dogs and boiled peanuts.
