"RB – Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama" picked first in the SEC as RB?
No disrespect to the young man, but he has yet to play a down against an SEC defense.
Will be interesting to watch as it unfolds.....
Burton 1st team, seriously? Dude has loads of talent. But never showed 1st team stats, so why vote him there? Bama voters extremely biased. No mention of AD Mitchell, who actually played and done way better than Burton? Come on, get the voting booths out of Tuscaloosa for once. Every year is Bama heavy.
Secondly, McIntosh has proven himself in the SEC. Gibbs has proven nothing, stop giving out stuff just because they're at Bama.
OK, it's better than last year. But Broderick Jones should be on the 2nd team (and will end the season on 1st team!), and Darnell Washington should be on the 3rd team.
I'm more miffed about the preseason watchlists for position awards that are coming out. Among the oversights:
Rightfully, Bennett, Bower, Washington, Gilbert and Van Pran made the lists for their respective position awards. But the four oversights above really are annoying.
The Outland Trophy watchlist hasn't come out yet. It should include Jalen Carter, but since they'll have 80 players Jones, McLendon and Van Pran really should be included as outside candidates.

Given the hype he's gotten, I wasn't surprised. And, given his varied skills, he may very well rack up some stats in that offense.
But I was surprised that they have Gibbs as first team RB AND first-team all-purpose. It's gotta be either one or the other.

Good. Thanks for the update. I wonder why they left him off to start with: Were they just correcting a mistake, or did someone realize they made a big mistake? LOL.
