why is Pruit working for DawgNation?
I had the same question….
“Is it going to be pass interferences?” Ha. If the over/unders on Alabama PI and offensive holding were 1 each, I’d probably take the under.
@BackHome Pruitt is right on, how the game gets called is huge.
I've seen some big games decided by PI calls -- Michigan State-ND had five of them in 2013 -- cost MSU a spot in championship game before four-team playoff.
How many PI calls will the refs give BAMA defenders determines the game. Agreed.
Oh it absolutely affects games. My (biased) point is that Alabama usually seems to be the beneficiary in a game where calls are a big factor.
PI's will greatly influence the outcome.....Bama will shut down the Vol's run game so they will be pass happy...if the ref's are tight on the PI calls, Bama suffers most as they defend physically. Nick will get pissed and loose coverage will ensue, the Vol's score. Bama's only salvation will be to give Gibbs plenty of running lanes. One way will be to use him as a receiver. Bama's O-Line needs to block to protect/open lanes for Gibbs and whoever is the QB....I think Milroe will take the most snaps. So, it comes down to how well Bama's O-Line plays??????
A happy ending for this DAWG would be for a one point Vols win after each team beats each other up!
A record number of penalties called on Alabama…truly, good to see. Now that Tennessee matchup looms large all but guaranteeing we don’t get a night game. 😀
