Georgia’s win over Tennessee on Saturday wasn’t so much because Georgia outplayed Tennessee. To be sure, the Bulldogs did so in the 27-13 win over the previously unbeaten Volunteers. The final score does not capture how thoroughly the Bulldogs dominated Tennessee.

Georgia not only won the 2021 National Championship; they've also been ranked No.1 for the majority of the weeks over last year, as well as this year. It's clear to see - Georgia is the new standard in college football.
The most impressive part about what Kirby continues to build is the quality of players and their preparedness to play when needed. Every program always talks about “next man up” but is there a program outside of UGA (Bama of course but that is tailing off a bit lately and likely Ohio State) that truly has players they have developed step into those roles and excel. Think of injuries over past 3-4 seasons and how players have stepped up and shown out - outstanding recruiting, developing, and coaching. Go DAWGS.
It will be great to see the momentum of yesterday’s win translate to recruiting wins among the 4 and 5 stars who were in attendance at the game!
I think those decisions have more to do with the atmosphere than the result of the game. They have to picture themselves playing there in the coming years. The good news is, we should still see the same effect!
The Georgia boys played to the standard. TN great Jalin Hyatt is testament to it.....Georgia is physical, tough, way more physical than Bama....and Tenn. as well. Stetson was actually having fun with them. TN was not only not invincible, they are really not that "great" as UGA proved. UGA defense made mockery of TN OL. I do wish UGA had scored in the second half, however. That is generally their strength..although they did not have to, the game was decided.
You can watch games and see the DAWGS have a better defense than Bama. Just means more coming from players who have faced both UGA, and Bama. Beats listening to Gary Danielson nit pick every other play. DAWGS could score 65 points and he'd still find something wrong with how they scored..GoDAWGS!
"Think of injuries over past 3-4 seasons and how players have stepped up and shown out ..."
