Former Georgia star George Pickens had some rookie growing pains this weekend, and on Wednesday, he addressed them.

He hasn't matured at all.
Incremental improvement. He is no longer punching players or squinting water on them. Bar is set low for this one.
Mike Tomlin likes Pickens' competitive spirit...that is all that counts. He is the coach. Whether we feel he is still immature makes no difference...and he seems to be.
Just like when he was with our Dawgs, George just needs to grow up.
I loved him then and love him now, but he is in the ocean now and not the kiddie pool and the slanted, liberal, jaded woke sports media are and were just waiting to jump on him. He needs to realize that and handle it accordingly,
Just play the media’s little game and do your thing on the field. But if you slip up and lose your cool, you better know the liberal slanted corporate sports media will be there to pounce on you to promote their click bait negative narrative…including that jacka55 Skip Bayless.

Keep pushing, stay hungry and screw what the media and all the others out there or in here have to say. You're the one who made it to the NFL and its because of the your talent and fire as a competitor. Eat young man eat! Go Dawgs!
Steelers got the "steel" of the draft
Oh, please with this "slanted, jaded, liberal, woke" media crap. I am so tired of folks screwing up whatever it is in life that they screw up and then, when that immature, rude, irresponsible behavior is called out, the defacto response is to blame the media. George Pickens is immature. He may be, or become, a great football player (he certainly was at the University of Georgia and I cheered for him) but at the moment, he is an immature person. A lot of people are at his age, but he's in a different place and status in life where his immaturity is going to be noticed and highlighted. It's not about a "liberal" or "woke," media, it is about GEORGE PICKENS and HIS CONDUCT. He needs to take responsibility for it. Period!
I'm with you on that, brother. Not sure why people think they have to bring politics into a discussion about football. It's basically trolling.
Regarding the matter at hand: The WR position attracts more than its share of self-centered, headstrong players. That's not to say they're bad guys. And the confidence is part of what separates some of them from less successful receivers with just as many physical gifts.
But in some cases (Antonio Brown being the latest example) that me-first mentality overflows and starts to damage their careers. A lot of the time, I loved Pickens' cockiness. But the NFL is a grownups' league, and part of growing up is knowing where that cockiness belongs and where it doesn't.
This is exactly what any coach would want in a receiver. Just ask the Mississippi State's head coach. That's what he wish his receivers' mentality was like. You're always confident in your abilities and you always want the rock. Mike Tomlin is right as well....there are certain ways to handle this situation, when you're at that level.
