According to the odds checker website, the Buckeyes are “a runaway favorite on the betting market,” and “have seen 66.7 percent of the bets” to join 2017 Alabama and 2015 Ohio State as national champs.

I sincerely hope that our beloved Georgia Bulldogs ABSOLUTELY JUST KICKS THEIR OHIO STATE Bu++S all the way back to Columbus, OHIO!!!!!!!
Well, I suppose some folks from up north are actually putting their money where their mouths are...
I do think we match up better against Michigan than against Ohio State, simply because their passing game is their strength while our passing defense has been leaky at times.
But if our running game keeps their offense off the field, we'll have an advantage. And if our defensive backs show up the way they did against Tennessee, the Buckeyes will be clear cut and mulched over.
Kelee Ringo's draft status will be on the line. A good to great outing and he stands to move up, conversely., if he gets picked on again and gets exposed then he slides down the draft board, perhaps way down. Go Dawgs!
I'd call that a pretty solid addition to whatever other external motivation he's got. Ringo has proven plenty of times that he can get the job done; let's just hope that it's the consistent, on-it version that we see for the remainder of the year.
I'm also pretty hopeful that our D-line absolutely manhandles their O, and makes that largely a non-issue from the jump.
That doesn't make any sense to me. Betting houses don't want bets too heavily in one direction to put themselves and unnecessary risk and if 2/3rds of bets were coming in for Ohio State, they would've adjusted the line to match.
My bet is that certainly in SOME areas that is absolutely true just like I'm sure Georgia is likely heavily bet on the South. The "Big Money" decides where the real opinion is and 6.5 pts seems to be it.
I realize that this won't be a true "home game" for the Dawgs, but I'm still hoping and expecting our most passionate fans to be there in full yelling force. It may not be as impactful as it was against Tenn but I bet it'll be more than people might think.

If I understand correctly, this only means that 66.7% of these bets are that Ohio State can come within 6 points of UGA. Ohio State could lose by 6 or less and be sent home without "joining 2017 Alabama and 2015 Ohio State as national champs", and those who placed these bets will still get paid (if the line remains at UGA -6.5). If Ohio State wins by any margin, they still will not "join 2017 Alabama and 2015 Ohio State as national champs.", they will simply move on to the finals and play the winner of Michigan versus TCU for the National Championship. Maybe these are just people betting that Ohio State is going to be the eventual winner of the CFP and would if fact "join 2017 Alabama and 2015 Ohio State as national champs." The article is a little confusing for me because I'm not familiar with the betting market.

Makes me wonder just how many are betting for Ohio State just because of their greater historical relevance compared to Georgia. Those who just casually follow football may be swayed by the Ohio State "brand".

In spite of the headline THE fans are just taking the points. Isn't that correct? If so, why not explicitly say so? It's a confusing article.
I think taking the points is foolish, too, but, hey, it's their money to lose.
