Former Tennessee QB Erik Ainge takes a shot at Stetson Bennett: ‘He’s a punk’
Erik Ainge has made some controversial comments about Georgia in the past, specifically due to the atmosphere at Sanford Stadium earlier this season. And it seems the former Tennessee quarterback and current radio host has once again made controversial comments.
Comments
Something tells me Ainge has been punched in his face more than once
Test
I guess Stetson lives rent free in that man's head. Wow
Man, what a jerk. Some people just can't take others being successful.
Ainge was a jerk when he played for the Celtics, too!
As I've said numerous times.. CLOWNS like ainge look good in tennessee orange. What a TRUE, DELUSIONAL, ut 🤡
People that make accusations like this are typically guilty of the offense themselves. I don't know Stetson personally, but I haven't heard or read anything that would move me to believe that he is a "punk". Erik Ainge should know as a former QB himself that the position itself (QB), requires a certain amount of confidence and ego. You have to believe in yourself and others have to believe in you too. Some might call that a bit of arrogance and honestly, I don't know of a leader going into combat that doesn't need some of that. I have said over and over on posts at Dawgnation, that I think Stetson has "moxy", which means "courage" or "determination". I think that perfectly describes what I see in him. Ainge is probably doing all of this to appease his base and his audience of radio listeners. I think it is safe to assume that HE is the PUNK through the comments he has made about Georgia fans in Athens and now about Stetson. Show some class dude! GO DAWGS!
Just wow. Why can't he stand him? Because he actually has a championship ring, sec and national and got a shot at a 2nd? I've heard of plenty of people being petty, but erik, go back to your measly podcast that 10s of fans listen to, and worry about the vols beat down in South Carolina.
There is something inside of me that is driving me to ask all Dawg fans that read this and then listen to Ainge’s idiotic comments that start over a minute before the 25:43 mark on Spotify like the article states to do the following:
Up vote this or do not post a response at all, either one, to this article.
This is an obvious attempt by Ainge and maybe even others, his marketing team or other PRO UT dunces, to promote himself, UT, and any other number of selfish individuals that are NOT pro-Dawgs in any way, shape, or form.
I am not going to post anything specifically responding to his comments because, and I mean this from the bottom of my red and black SOUL, Ainge is not worthy. Nor is anyone else who doesn’t bleed red and black.
Have a great day Dawg fans, and I look forward to seeing and hearing and reading about your thoughts and feelings coming up on January the 9th!
THOSE will be worthy of clicks and comments and votes IMO. Not this sorry POS.
Go DAWGS!!!
Dude's sick, and not in a good way.
Haters gonna hate... Maybe he would like some cheese with that whine.
I’m sure Volunteers fans look back on Ainge’s time at UT as the golden era of Tennessee football. This guy is a radio hack, and he’s calling Stet a punk? Stetson’s got one more win to get, and I hope he calls into Ainge’s show to ask how many rings he has.
What I found most compelling is the volume of evidence Ainge provided for his description of Stetson Bennett as a "punk".
If I remember correctly, Ainge was a highly sought-after QB in the 2008 draft. Right? He had a monster career, shame it got truncated by substance abuse.
Erik Ainge= douchebag
Substance abuse?
People like this make their living making outrageous statements and sitting back and basking in the attention. It's a pathetic way to get recognition. Such are the scum of the earth.
