Not often does a program succeed in firing a very successful head coach to hire a coach to take the team to the next level and the new coach succeed in attaining that next level goal.
Kirby has attained that next level, but first there was Coach Richt that began laying the foundation. Coach Richt is deserving in every way to be honored with the election the College Football Hall of Fame! He is a credit to our university as a coach and as a quality human being! Congratulations Coach Richt and Katharyn! Two DGDs!
I can’t think of anyone who is more deserving than Coach Richt. Of all the contributions that he made to college football, I would bet he’s most proud of the ones that went towards making an impact on the lives of the young men who once called him Coach, but will always call him a great friend. Well done Coach Richt!

Congratulations Coach. He poured is heart & soul into the foundation on which Kirby has built the Dawg Dynasty!!
There is a long standing tradition of winning and excellence at UGA. Mark Richt added to that tradition and should have won a National Championship early in his UGA tenure. LSU was wrongly voted the championship despite the Dawgs being the better team.
